The Shepherd struggled to rise, but his body trembled under the aftershocks of Shadow Cataclysm. Every step he tried to take seemed to falter, the forest around him cracking and black tendrils creeping along the ground toward him as if the Dominion itself sought to drag him down.

I stepped closer, shadows swirling like living serpents around my legs, tightening with intent. Amber, Mona, and Mia flanked me, silent but deadly—warriors, queens, and generals ready to act at my command.

The Shepherd looked up at me, hatred and disbelief warring across his eyes. “You… you absorbed it… all this power… how?”

I smirked, letting the shadows expand just enough to dance over his face. “It wasn’t absorbed. It… joined me. Shadow Dominion isn’t just mine. It’s mine and theirs, and anyone foolish enough to challenge me becomes part of the lesson.”

He growled, summoning the last remnants of his corrupted magic into a swirling black vortex above him. Bones, shadow, and venom fused together into a monstrous form—the final wolf-king, a creature of nightmare designed to destroy me.

Mona raised her axe. “Cute. But adorable. Let’s see how cute it is when I break it in half.”

Amber’s silver blade gleamed in the dim light. “Stay focused. Don’t get distracted by his theatrics.”

Mia’s spiders hissed as they encased the smaller minions in sticky webs, neutralizing the Shepherd’s secondary forces. “Ryu… this form… it’s feeding off his life. If we delay too long…”

I didn’t need her to finish. My hand shot out, and Shadow Cataclysm condensed into a colossal spear of darkness, faster than thought, moving toward the wolf-king. Its roar shook the clearing.

The Shepherd snarled. “You cannot… kill me!”

“I’m not killing you,” I said, voice low but calm. “I’m showing you what happens when you try to control what you don’t understand.”

The spear struck true, shadow energy consuming the wolf-king. His body writhed violently, howls of rage turning into screams of despair as the shadows tightened around him, leeching his power and feeding it into me.

The Shepherd’s energy screamed against me, but it was too late. My Dominion had synchronized fully with the battlefield, my intent, and the power that he had tried to wield.

Finally, the wolf-king collapsed, bones and corruption dissolving into nothingness. The Shepherd, now fully human beneath the mask, fell to his knees, trembling. He looked up, and for the first time, fear replaced arrogance.

“You… you’ve become… something else…” he whispered.

I stepped forward, shadow tendrils rising like a crown around me. “I’m not ‘something else.’ I’m the Shadow King. And this world… is under my rule. Step aside, or become part of the lesson.”

Amber, Mona, and Mia stepped forward, and the clearing seemed to breathe with power. Shadows no longer roamed freely—they moved at my command, a visible aura of dominion that radiated authority over life and death, corruption and chaos.

The Shepherd lowered his gaze. “I… yield.”

I didn’t speak. I let the shadows draw back, leaving him kneeling, stripped of his power.

Mona smirked. “Finally. That was… satisfying.”

Mia nodded slowly. “His energy… it’s been integrated. The Dominion will be stronger than ever.”

Amber’s silver eyes met mine, sharp but approving. “You’ve officially crossed a threshold. That was no mere battle. That was ascension.”

I looked around at my allies—the queens who had fought beside me, the soldiers who had survived. Shadows coiled gently around their feet, not as chains, but as shields. The power I now held could protect them, or destroy anyone foolish enough to threaten us.

The battlefield was silent now, except for the wind through the trees. Somewhere in the north, new forces stirred, sensing the change in power.

And deep inside me, Shadow Dominion pulsed, alive and waiting.

This is just the beginning.
