"Ash-Senpai, can I ask you something?" Asked Komimi, one of my regulars.
"Anything you want, you can ask, I'll always answer when you call." The lies are getting easier.
"Are you a Vir-" Komimi was cut off by a strange voice screaming out.
"No! Don't touch me, you phony!" A strange girl was yelling at Tamaki. The rest of the host club had gasped as if no one had ever called him that before.
"What do you mean, phony?" You could see he was trying to keep himself together.
"Just what I said! Phony! I find it hard to believe that someone like you is the prince character of this host club! You shouldn't go spreading your love around so easily like that you stupid! You must be a dim-witted narcissist! You're incompetent! You're a commoner! You're disgusting!" We watched as all of the words hit Tamaki. Slowly he fell to the ground laughing like a maniac. Hikaru and Kaoru started to make fun of him. Scary.
"I don't suppose you are..." Kyoya had started to talk, thinking about the girl in front of him. The girl gasped, and jumped on Tamaki's fallen body launching to Kyoya.
"It's you! Kyoya! Oh how I longed to meet you! My one and only prince charming!" The girls from the host club were escorted out, as Kyoya and the girl explained who she was.
"Your fiancée?" Hikaru asked still a little baffled.
"Kyoya-Senpai?" Kaoru questioned.
"Of course. My name is Renge Hoshakuji, and I'm transferring into Ouran Academy's First Year, Class A tomorrow." As she introduced herself Tamaki sulked in the corner, why was he sulking about something as simple as a hidden truth? Grabbing my things I started to walk to the door, trying to slip out unnoticed. I had too many of my own problems for this silly thing.
"-and just where do you think your going." A voice called from right behind me. Damn it Kyoya.
"Well this obviously has nothing to do with me so I'll be leaving." I replied. The rest of the host club was caught up in their own little Renge debate.
"Oh, it's a story of love at first sight. I couldn't resist the way you were adoring those flowers in the back yard when you thought no one else was looking...and how sweet it was when you reached out to that poor little injured kitten.." Oh my god. I really wish I could slip out of here but the demon Kyoya is watching me like a hawk. Slowly I walked back to my seat and blocked out everyone.
"Well boys, I can't wait to work with you!" She smiled, snapping me out of my trance. What the hell was happening?
~The Next Day~
I opened the door to the host club. I hadn't really been in the best of moods, the weight of my problems were becoming heavier with each passing day. The fake smile on my face had grown, compensating for my foul mood. The pain was growing each day and the razor wasn't helping anymore.
"Lukewarm." Renge stated, please don't start I don't know how much longer I can keep this up today.
"Huh?" Hani questioned.
"Every single one of you! Except for Kyoya, all of your characters are lukewarm! Each one of you has to have some sort of "dark" side! You understand? Girls are vulnerable to handsome young men who are troubled. If you keep carrying on like this, it'll only be a matter of time for the girls to get tired of you and stop coming altogether! Are you trying to ruin my precious Kyoya's business!? As your manager, it is my duty to change your character backgrounds! Lets start with you!" Renge weaseled her way into the club by becoming the manager. Ash, the pain is getting really hard to bare. My thoughts were interrupted by Hani's screams.
"If all you are is cute, inside and out, then you're no different than a baby! Therefore, from now on, you are the baby faced thug!" Renge please stop. Hani screamed again. "And Mori-Senpai, you're his childhood friend, the flunkie! The twins will be basketball players, enslaved in their own world! Haruhi, you're an honors student who's constantly being bullied! And as for you Tamaki, you're the school idol, who's admired for your good looks, but you actually have an inferiority complex you're hiding from the world. The Lonely Prince. And Kyoya, you're perfect just the way you are now. So I want you to stay as kind and affectionate as possible, okay?"
"Thank you, I'm honored," Kyoya replied, keeping his cool facade,"But you forgot a member. Ash why don't you come on over here?" I walked up next to Kyoya and pasted a smile on my face. Remember Ash, no one can know you're hurting. Renge's eyes looked me up and down assessing on what to do with me.
"Ash-Senpai, you are...hmm." She kept contemplating what to have me as, she couldn't read me. My facade made me shallower than a kiddie pool. "You can be Kyoya's ice cold friend. He keeps trying to get you to open up but you lock your heart away. Oh yes its the perfect combination."
"Lets just wait and see how things turn out. I bet it'll be interesting. It always is." Kyoya was highly amused by this. He was always trying to find out more about me. He couldn't leave well enough alone.
