3rd person POV:
The host club had just visited Haruhi's house. It was around noon, when Haruhi remembered something. They hadn't been to Ash's house. They didn't even know where he lived. The twins and Tamaki were talking about it when she remembered about the visit, to a friend over here. The room number was 005. Redirecting the boys the that house they knocked on the door.
"Just a second." A woman's voice called from behind the old oak door. Waiting there patiently for the woman to answer, Hani, and Haruhi got a bad feeling. "Ah, sorry bout that. How may I help you?" A woman who looked no more than 35 answered the door with a smile.
"Hi! My name is Haruhi, Haruhi Fujioka. My dad and I live upstairs, and we are friends of Ash's." Haruhi said, politely taking in the change of expression on the woman's face.
"Friends of Ash's you say. Well, come on in. He hardly gets visitors anymore." Her smile had faded at the thought of her dead son. The woman lead them over to the small shrine in her house. "There he is." She politely extended her arm out at the shrine. "Stay as long as you like." she turned away. "Oh, I almost forgot. Hello, My name is Akira Hashimoto, Ash's mom." The host club was in shock from these words.
"You're Ash's mom?" Hani spoke up confused.
"Yes, I just said that. Why?" Akira asked chuckling slightly.
"Ash told me that his parents died in a fire."
"Ash did? When?" The rest of the host clubs were trying to piece everything together. The shrine, the mom, the fire.
"A few weeks ago." Akira opened her mouth slightly shocked.
"That's not possible."
"Why not?" Kyoya stepped in as Hani tried to track back all the things Ash had told him that day.
"Because, my son, Ash Hashimoto has been dead for a year and a half now." The host club hadn't said anything to her. They stared confused at what she had just told them. Everything was getting so much more confusing. Why had Ash lied? Who is Ash Hashimoto? How does he know the real Ash? What's going on? "Yes, he's been dead for a while now. That Shrine is his."
"But I saw Ash come here, you let him in a couple of months ago." Haruhi spoke unsure if it was really the right apartment. Akira was trying to think, the only visitor around then was...Aspen.
"Aspen."
"What?" Haruhi asked confused.
"It was Aspen...Short blonde hair, blue eyes?" Akira asked the host club, if what she thought was right. She wasn't with them because it was over.
"Yeah that's Ash." Haruhi responded.
"Damn it. Where is she?" Akira asked worried, Aspen had really tried to fulfill his wish.
"She?" The hosts asked, but Akira ignored them waiting for a response.
"He's not with us, he should be at home."
"Have any of you called him a friend?"
"I have. Why?" Haruhi and Hani said at the same time.
"Damn it. Let's go... NOW!" Akira grabbed her coat and ran out the door. The confused Host club followed behind. Akira ran up to the limo that were parked out front. Hani and Haruhi followed close behind, worried about what might happen to Ash. The hosts and Akira squished into the limo, while Akira told the driver the address. When the door was shut they drove off. The hosts kept talking and asking questions but Akira was too focused on Aspen to answer.
Arriving at the Kudo house, they got out. Akira had ran up to the gate, calling into the house. No one was answering. Akira pushed through the guards and into the open house. She had only been here a few times. Running up the stairs to what she believed to be Aspen's room, she opened the door. She screamed, tears falling down her face. The hosts pace quickened at the sound of her scream and saw her on the ground looking into the room.
There on the bed was Aspen. Blood running down and pooling onto the once white sheets. Hani, Mori, Kyoya, and Haruhi, pushed past the frozen host and the terrified woman. Kyoya called his family's hospital, even though he was keeping a bold front, Kyoya was actually shaking. Hani was observing the smile Ash had on her face. 'Why was she smiling as she died?' The small boy wondered. Haruhi tried to get a response from her, yelling at her to wake up, trying not to cry. Haruhi hadn't cried in a long time, not since her mother had died. Mori, was still in shock, but seeing the pain on his cousin's face he tried to keep calm. Mori had tried to stop the bleeding, though nothing he did helped.
The rest of the hosts slowly slipped from their frozen state and went to help the tall, quiet boy. Tamaki and the twins held towels on the bleeding wrist, while Mori checked for a pulse. Putting his fingers up to her neck, he jumped at how cold she was. Even though she was cold, he could feel it, slowly and softly he could feel a faint thump of her heart. At that point an EMS had arrived. Men had came in and dragged her onto a stretcher. The host club knew it wasn't smart to try and stop them or go with. They prayed for the best as they watched their friend get hauled away to the hospital.
They Prayed.
