Chapter 163: CEO Competition

Although the response wasn't directed at his question, Jungkook knew what she meant.

The next morning, Lisa was the first to arrive at work to prepare for the presentation.

As she went through the script, she realized a small problem. Jungkook was good. . . But he was maybe a little too good!

Some of the information he wrote was a little confusing to Lisa, and she didn't even know where Jungkook got the information from.

Lisa had to search some words up and read through the script several times before she finally understood what it meant.

By the time she could memorize most of the script, all the workers had come, including manager Yu.

They gathered into the large meeting room and Lisa's group went first. To her surprise, Lisa presented better than she rehearsed, and she could notice the anxiety in Eunha's eyes.

After Eunha had presented, it was clear which group won.

Manager Yu stood up, "Thank you for your presentations. I have decided that the winner will go to group A. Kim Lisa, come to my office."

Eunha's eyes narrowed and she angrily marched out of the meeting room.

Lisa's group members all came over to congratulate each other and tell Lisa how amazing the script was. Lisa guiltily smiled and made a mental note to thank Jungkook later.

Everyone returned to work and Lisa entered manager Yu's office.

Manager Yu was sitting at her desk, and she looked up slightly when she heard the door open.

"Send me the presentation so I can send it to your dad."

Lisa smiled, "Yes, manager Yu. I will send it right away!"

The next few weeks passed by really quickly, and each day was similar to the next as Lisa went to the company and worked hard.

Winter came and the temperature continued to drop.

It has been over a month since Lisa joined the company, and another big event was about to occur.

It was the morning of a Monday, and it was the coldest day of the week.

Lisa was half awake as Jungkook wrapped a black scarf around her neck, and she felt like going to sleep even more with the warm comfort around her cold skin.

"You're going to be late," Jungkook warned with a smile on his face.

"I want to go back to bed. . ." Lisa said as she stepped forward and leaned all her weight against Jungkook's body. She wrapped her arms around his waist and closed his eyes.

Seeing Lisa's tired expression, Jungkook also wanted to bring her back onto the bed and sleep with her.

However, he knew she would be upset if she was late.

Jungkook used one finger to lift up Lisa's chin, and he leaned down, pressing his lips onto hers.

"Mm. . ." Lisa said as she opened her eyes slightly.

Jungkook kissed her for almost a minute, and Lisa was out of breath when he finally let go.

"Jeon Jungkook!" She said unhappily, fully awake now.

Jungkook was very pleased as he gently patted her on the head, "Go to work now."

Lisa grabbed her bag and dramatically marched out of the room. Bai Jiawei and Eunha were both gone already when she arrived downstairs, and she hurriedly left for work.
