Chapter 179: The Mysterious Shareholder

"Everyone, I am very happy that my daughter is back. However, we are here today to vote for the CEO. So, let's continue with the voting."

Lisa raised one eyebrow and stood up, "I believe that I am in this competition too, right dad?"

Bai Jiawei glanced at her and gulped before saying, "Yes. . . Of course. . . And, since you are alive, you won the first part of the third round. So, it is tied right now. The final round will determine the winner."

To be honest, Lisa was indeed a little nervous, because she wasn't sure after these weeks if the shareholders would still vote for her.

She crossed her fingers together and sat up straighter as the vote began.

"There are two candidates for the position of CEO and for a position in the board of directors. They are Manager Li Eunha and Group Leader Kim Lalisa."

Lisa raised one eyebrow when she heard that. It seems like while she was gone, Li Yuyan got promoted to manager.

Both Lisa and Eubha sat a little taller as Bai Jiawei said, "If you support Li Eunha to become CEO and enter the board, please raise your hand."

The entire left side of the room raised their hands.

Lisa wasn't very surprised that so many people were voting for Eunha, because Bai Jiawei had probably bribed or threatened them. However, something caught her eyes.

'Uncle Fei. . .' Lisa's eyes widened as she opened her mouth slightly. Uncle Fei was one of her mother's friends, and he had joined the company pretty early on.

She would have never thought that at the last minute, Uncle Fei would still lean towards Bai Jiawei. . .

Uncle Fei looked down and refused to make eye contact with Lisa, and she couldn't help but feel a little sad and disappointed.

It's okay. . . At least she knows not to trust him now.

Bai Jiawei counted the votes and smiled, "Okay, there are 12 votes for Manager Li Eunha."

Eunha grinned and glanced at Lisa confidently.

"Now, let's vote for group leader Kim Lalisa. Please raise your hand if you support Kim Lalisa to become CEO and join the board of directors."

Under the table, Lisa crossed her hands together as she felt her heartbeat speed up.

Everyone who didn't raise their hands did this time, and it was practically everyone on the right side of the room.

Friends of her grandfather immediately raised their hands in support of Lisa, and she couldn't help but feel grateful for their loyalty.

Bai Jiawei raised one eyebrow slightly as he announced, "Kim Lalisa's vote is also 12!"

Lisa sat up a little straighter as she slightly furrowed her eyebrows together. The reporters and directors in the room all whispered amongst themselves, wondering how this was going to work if there was a tie.

"So far, Li Eunha and Kim Lalisa are tied."

Lisa looked towards Bai Jiawei, and she immediately knew that something was wrong with Bai Jiawei's calm demeanor.

Bai Jiawei definitely had another plan. . . Or else why would he be so calm in a situation like this?

"Wait!" A shareholder that voted for Lisa suddenly said. Everyone turned to look at the person who spoke, including Lisa.

"Chairman Bai, I think this vote shouldn't count, right?"

Lisa raised one eyebrow and leaned forward slightly.
