Chapter 159: Failed Plan

She flipped to the first page and her eyes widened when she saw the name typed on the title page of the report.

Eunha.

Lisa then flipped to the next page and the next. This was hers! She clearly remembers the content of what she wrote. This was her report.

Lisa glared at manager Yu, who was looking at her hands.

Lisa smirked and threw the folder back onto the table. Did they really think that this stupid act was enough to get her?

"Eunha, this is your report?"

Eunha straightened her back and nodded, "Yes. Lisa, don't try to lie. I saw you not do the report yesterday!"

Lisa almost laughed out loud. Did Eunha get herself mixed up with Lisa?!

"Okay, if that is so, you should be familiar with what you wrote in the report, right?"

". . . Yes." Eunha said as she blinked a few times.

"Great! Then what company did you write about as competition to the Kim Corporation in your report?"

Bai Jiawei sighed, "Li-"

"Dad, this question is simple. Eunha should be able to answer it, right? I'm just curious to know." Lisa said with a smile, but Eunha obviously didn't know.

She didn't even look at the report!

"This. . . this. . . The Aini Cosmetics. I talked about Aini Cosmetics because it is the most popular brand right now!"

Lisa grinned and grabbed the file folder. Without looking, she flipped to the third page and handed it to Bai Jiawei.

"It's quite interesting how the writer of the report doesn't even know who they put as the competitor. However, the outsider here who didn't write a report knows. It is the Sanxi brand."

Bai Jiawei looked at the page Lisa was on and saw that it was indeed the Sanxi brand.

Yesterday, after Jungkook had sent Lisa the monthly report, she suddenly decided to change the competitor to the Sanxi brand, because the statistics showed that the Sanxi brand was slowly climbing its way up.

So, she decided to use the Sanxi brand because it was more of a long-term competitor.

Bai Jiawei looked up, "Eunha, did you really write this report?"

Eunha gulped, "I. . . I did! You can ask manager Yu!"

Yu Yoona looked up and tried to hide her guilt, "Yes, chairman. . . Eunha is indeed the one who wrote it."

Lisa scoffed, "How interesting that the one who wrote it doesn't even know the most important and basic information."

"I do! I just. . . I just forgot! It is the Sanxi Brand! I meant the Sanxi Brand. Yes, that's right. I didn't include Aini Cosmetics."

Lisa grinned and flipped to the next page, "How interesting! Aini Cosmetics is also included as a competitor, it is just on the next page."

Bai Jiawei looked and just as Lisa said, there was a smaller paragraph explaining how Aini Cosmetics was also a major competitor in the makeup field.

"Eunha, did you really write this?"

Eunha knew that her act was about to be broken and she didn't know what to say. Finally, manager Yu spoke up.

"Chairman Bai, I think I made a mistake. That one is indeed Lisa's. Maybe it was because I was too busy yesterday, so I got things mixed up. I thought that that one was Eunha's because they gave it to me at similar times."

Bai Jiawei frowned, not completely believing Manager Yu's words. However, he had a meeting soon, so he decided to just let it pass.

"Okay. Be more careful next time. Lisa and Eunha, you both work hard."

Bai Jiawei frowned and left the room. Right after, Lisa glanced at Eunha and manager Yu before also leaving.

By now, she was certain that there was something going on between Eunha and Yu Yoona. Or else why would manager Yu help Eunha and push herself out.

Lisa raised one eyebrow amusedly before leaving the room. When she opened the door, several eyes immediately returned to the screen. Bai Jiawei's screaming was quite loud, and the workers outside probably heard what they were talking about.

Lisa didn't care as she returned to her seat.

This day, there wasn't any special assignment, and she just did some basic work as a new worker. She made copies of documents, checked files before handing them up to Manager Yu, and did other things.

At the end of the day, Lisa left work early today and quickly drove home to Jungkook's house. Since she was early today, Jungkook wasn't back yet.

She took out a bag of snacks and a cup of juice, and plopped down onto the couch to relax. When she finished the bag of chips, the door opened and Jungkook returned.

Lisa immediately ran up and hugged him. Jungkook was a little surprised at the sudden force that hit him, but he smiled when he saw who it was.

"How was work today?"

"Bad! I got accused of not doing the report yesterday, but Eunha actually didn't do it! I think Eunha and our manager have something going on, because the manager helped her although she should know perfectly well that I was the one who did the report and Eunha didn't!" Lisa ranted with a frown.

Jungkook raised one eyebrow, "Oh, really?"

Lisa nodded her head sadly.

"What is your manager's name?"

"Manager Yu. Her name is. . . Yu Yoona."

Jungkook lifted Lisa up and carried her to the living room, dropping her onto the couch.

"I'll go cook." He walked into the kitchen and closed the door, however, he didn't start cooking immediately. Instead, he pulled out his phone and dialed a phone number.

"Yes, President Jeon!" Eunwoo said with a bite of food in his mouth.

"I need you to look into a person called Yu Yoona. She is the market department manager at the Kim Corporation. I want the information in at most two hours."

"Yes, sir!"
