Chapter Five - The Whole Truth
Chief was indeed a massive man. In my slumber I could remember his figure from my hallucination. He was very dark and had this tribal tattoo going across his face. In contrast to his deep brown skin were very light blue eyes, almost white in color.
The other men had removed their masks to expose their faces as well but it was the chief only whom I was interested in. He was part of my history. I didn't know what the others wanted but he was someone I knew.
Of the five other guys there, Ethan Jet was one of them. He was hoisting me up onto a nearby chair and supporting me so I wouldn't fall over. While I was still recovering from my unconsciousness, the hallucinations were now gathering around for their introductions. This was probably one of the oddest side affects I could remember including passing out at the school.
"Whoa, hey now, kiddo, you need to stop falling. I am getting tired of being there to catch you, squirt."
Why did people insist on calling me that? I couldn't imagine that they really knew about me if they continued on with this kid calling crap.
"Stop... calling... me... that!" I was slurring and trying to pull it together but the world was fuzzy and spinning as it had been a lot for me lately.
Chief had his arms crossed over his chest. As he stood he could only be imitated by a brick wall. His wide shoulders and piercing stare were like poison darts that could stop the worst of criminals in their tracks.
The other men were coming into eyesight now. Two of them looked as if they might be twins with only slight differences in their hair color, one with dark brown and one with light brown. The other had platinum blonde hair and the last had long black hair. As they came into focus I realized they all also had those light blue, almost white eyes.
The twins stepped forward first while the chief did introductions.
"This is X7-6," the one with the light hair stepped forward, "otherwise known as Jackson Riot. And this," the one with dark hair stepped forward, "Is X7-5 or Cyrus Riot.
"Next is X7-3," He was the one with long black hair and unlike the others he stayed in his spot almost upset with his arms crossed over his chest, a disturbed look on his face, "Also known as Marx.
"Then we have X7-8," The blonde, "Or Casey Bradley." He walked forward like the twins with a smile on his face which resembled the one Ethan usually gave me, very mischievous.
"You know Ethan, he was assigned to protect you at school and pass along the message to meet us. I am sorry things happened so quickly but what needed to be done was done."
I laughed a little. It was almost like I really was some sort of spy now and this was my weird initiation. X7-whatever was a lot like 007. Maybe they wanted me to turn on the government and help them take over for whatever country they were working for.
"And your name, chief?"
He remained still and did not speak. The twins, who seemed too hyper to control themselves at this point, now took over the introductions.
