Keaton ended up attending The University of Florida, only 2 hours and 8 minutes from his grandfather. He wanted to spend more time with him. As for Ari, she is attending Florida State University. The two colleges are 2 hours and 33 minutes away from each other. It's still kind of far but they will make it work.
Keaton's father is in jail and will be serving for a good amount of time. Since Keaton can't play football any longer, he decided to take part in a coaching program for his college. He continues to tell his story to young football lovers and teaches them to stay healthy because it's the best way to avoid an injury. He's also majoring in sports management.
Ari decided to go back and forth to Massachusetts once in a while to visit her brothers grave and to visit her friends. She realized now that everything will be okay. She's majoring in elementary education and a minor in special education because she realized how good of a teacher she is.
