Chapter 12

It feels good feeling wanted. It feels even better feeling like you are worth something. And when I was with Keaton last night, I was feeling both of those things. I woke up and there was a note on the pillow next to me.

I smiled to myself reading the note. You could tell he tried really hard despite all the incorrect letters and misspelled words. I immediately took out my phone to text him. After I picked up my phone I had a couple missed calls from Bethany. Instead of texting Keaton I called Beth.

"Hey, Beth are you alright?" I asked as soon as I heard the phone pick up.

"No, not really. Can you come over?" She asked sounding really tired.

"Yeah of course. I'm on my way" I hung up the phone, changed really quickly and went to see Bethany.

I welcomed myself into her house and she was on the couch with a couple blankets wrapped around her.

"Beth, what's wrong?" I asked standing next to her.

"I do have a fever but that's not why I asked you to come over" she sat up on the couch.

Uh oh, what is she going to say?

"Why did you play Danny?" She asked.

"What do you mean?"

"You obviously just invited him to have a guy next to you. Why him?" She asked getting defensive.

"No, you have the wrong idea. I didn't want to tell you this until later but yes I did play Danny but it was only to make Keaton jealous. And I don't feel bad about it because I don't know if you heard but Danny tried to rape me last night and you know who was there to save me? Keaton." I explained.

"He what?" The pitch of her voice went up and looked confused.

"Yeah, he wanted to have sex with me and I said no but he kept trying. It was horrible Bethany." I said thinking about what happened and I began to tear up a little.

"No, don't cry. He was probably drunk. I'll talk to him about it later. So what happened after Keaton saved you?" She asked kind of defending Danny. I didn't want to start any problems so I let it go.

"Well, Keaton started fist fighting with Danny and I ended up washing blood off of Keaton's face. One thing lead to another and we kissed. After, he took me home and we lied in my bed for a little" I told her the gist of what happened. And then remembered that I had to text him back.

"Holy shit! So are you guys like a thing now? I thought he wasn't talking to you"

"Yeah he wasn't but he apologized and yeah I guess we're a thing. I mean we just kissed it's not like we're hanging out all day everyday."

"So what's going to happen next?" Bethany asked starring at me with an excited look.

"I don't know! But I will let you know" I smiled back at her. I'm really surprised she's not interrogating me on how I shouldn't be with him because he's bad.

"Okay and I'll talk to Danny" she said whipping out her phone.

"Can you do it when I'm not here? Because I seriously just don't want anything to do with him, ever" I asked honestly.

"Yeah sure" she put down her phone.

I hung out with Bethany for most of the day and then went home for dinner that way I could relax for a little while.
