Chapter 15

It's been a few weeks since the first football game aka the night Danny almost raped me. Danny still didn't apologize for what he did. Anyway, every week West Canal high school football team wins. Everyone is always in a joyful mood. There is still no sign of Keaton's father but his mother and him are doing okay. Their destroyed office and kitchen is refurbished and back to normal. I finished re-decorating my secret hideaway but still didn't show anyone yet. Keaton is really progressing with his reading and writing and he's getting letters from Clemson University concerning a football scholarship. I also helped him with filling out a couple applications for different schools in Florida, Georgia and both Carolinas and he already sent them in. I didn't send in my applications yet. I'm still deciding if I even want to go to college or not.

"Hello?" I answered my phone

"Ari! It's Kyla! Get outside" my old friend ordered me. Get outside? She is not in South Carolina right now..

"Hi!!" She screamed running towards me to give me a huge hug after I opened my front door.

"How are you here right now!?" I asked still surprised

"I talked to your mother and I'm here for a couple days. I needed to see you!" She hugged me again. This is sort of odd since I haven't really talked to her in a couple weeks but I mean she's here already.

"Wow okay come inside" I took one of her bags and brought it upstairs into my room.

"You're house is soo nice!" She squealed looking around in my room.

"Yeah it's alright" I settled her bags down.

"So how are you doing? I see on Instagram that you have a boyfriend?" She questioned

"Yeah I do. His name is Keaton" I smiled to myself

"Aw! That's so sweet. Will I be meeting him?" She asked in her excited tone

"Of course. There's actually a party tonight and he's the host" I remembered that he was having a party

"Yes a party! Maybe I'll meet a boy myself" she raised her eyebrows

"Maybe you will" I laughed

"Hey, I want to have some fun now" she laughed along.

It took us a while to catch up on things but we eventually did it. She told me everything going on in my old school from girls that are getting pregnant to some boys getting arrested. I even told her what happened with Danny. She was wondering why I didn't tell her sooner but I really didn't know the answer to that. I guess it's just easy for me to lose touch.

We got ready together and arrived at Keaton's. We came early to help him set up. His mother was on a spa trip with her friends so he was home alone for the weekend.

"So this is the famous Keaton" Kyla said to Keaton

"Famous?" He questioned while laughing

"This is my friend from Massachusetts. Her name is Kyla" I introduced them

"Nice to meet you" she shook his hand.

"You too. Now in a couple minutes this place will be filled. Can you help me put all the glass stuff in this closet? I don't want anything being broken" Keaton asked both of us to help him

"Yeah of course" we both started putting the things away. Keaton was right, after a couple minutes tons of people showed up. Kyla was having a great time talking to a bunch of people. Her and Bethany even got along great. I wasn't really in the mood to party and I didn't know why. I tried to find Keaton but since he was the host, he was probably doing a million things. I went up to his bedroom to lye down for a minute.
