The whole school was talking about tonight's party. No one could focus during school. I couldn't focus because I was bored but everyone else was hyped for the big night. I'm not too thrilled but I know that if I go, there's a big possibility I might actually have fun. After school, Bethany came over so we could get ready together. Bethany and I are becoming great friends. But having a new friend reminds me of my old ones. I feel like I'm betraying them sort of. I'm definitely thinking this over too much.
"Hellooo earth to Ari" Bethany said breaking me from my thoughts.
"Oh sorry" I jumped up a little bit.
"That shirt, or this one?" Bethany pointed to two shirts. One was black and white polka dots and the other was a plain tan shirt but it was very cute.
"Well it depends on what you're wearing on the bottom" I stated making Bethany question what she will be wearing on the bottom half of her body.
"Got it! I'm wearing white jean shorts!" She pulled a pair of shorts out of her bag.
"Okay well I think the tan shirt will look good with the white." I said while visualizing them both in my head.
"Now for shoes.... Either these really cute flip flops or converses?" She asked holding both up.
"I like the flip flops" I said shooting Bethany a smile.
"Bethany?" I asked while scrolling through my phone.
"Yeah?" She sat on my bed.
"Can I call you Beth?" I asked kind of laughing because it sounded like I was going to ask her something serious.
"Yeah sure!" She laughed too and we both knew what we were laughing at. "Is your real name Ari?" She asked.
"Actually no. You are probably thinking my name is Arianna but it isn't. My first full name is Ari Mae. But I decided to keep it short and simple so it's just Ari." I stated.
"I like that name it's so cute!" Bethany clapped her hands together in excitement over my name. "Now we have to find your outfit Ari Mae" Bethany looked over at me and smirked.
"Oh great now you're going to call me that" I said rolling my eyes.
"Well it is your real name isn't it?" Bethany laughed.
"Yeah you're right" I laughed along.
"Okay so I think these really cute high waisted jean shorts would go great with your body! And obviously this crop top" Bethany pulled out the articles of clothing and threw it at my face.
"Thank you for killing me with clothes" I said grabbing them off my face.
"I'm not killing you with clothes, I'm actually killing you with cute clothes" she smiled and waited for me to put on the outfit.
"It fits perfectly" I said while checking myself out in the mirror. And damn I look pretty good.
"Yay" Bethany jumped up in excitement. "All the guys will be all over you tonight" she said waving her eyebrows up and down.
"Shut up!" I threw a pillow at her face.
We both laughed and continued getting ready for the party. Makeup and hair is one of my strong suits so Beth asked if I could do her makeup for her. Not to be self centered or anything but I always end up doing an amazing job.
"Wow you're really good at this" Bethany said while checking out her eye makeup in the mirror.
"It's a gift" I smiled to myself and started my own eye makeup.
