Chapter 53 New Friends and Old Enemies

"Watching the world from above the clouds, A beautiful high, and I can't come down, Losing my senses, out of space, State of mind, you can't replace, Who would have thought the stars are true, Close my eyes, I'm next to you," Kate Elsworth's voice sings from the Bluetooth speaker system built in the guest bathroom in Wes' townhouse.

Eddie looks up and around the room, trying to find where the speakers are, but they are hidden somewhere in the ceiling and walls. He isn't even surprised at this. Knowing Wes, he figured there would always be music on in his home. It's just his thing.

Eddie stands under the warm rainfall shower, feeling the steady stream of water cascade down his body. The droplets dance along his skin, glimmering like jewels as they reflect the light above him. With gentle movements, he massaged shampoo into his hair before tilting his head back and closing his eyes, letting the water rinse away any trace of the shampoo. The scent of his sandalwood body wash mixed with the woodsy aroma of Buck's shampoo fills the air, reminding Eddie of home.

He hums along as the chorus repeats, then fades out. As the next song starts, he rubs the soapy sandalwood body wash into the skin on his belly.

A sultry voice starts to sing, "Dim the lights, So you can't see me, Close your mouth
Don't speak, just feel me, Closer we become, Together we will fall, than we're one, This night, this night, We give ourselves one night," Eddie knows this song, so he slides the shower curtain back, reaches for the remote control, and turns the volume up.

As the melody slowly builds up to an intense EDM beat drop and the music fills the room, Eddie's body can't help but sway and move to the rhythm. He dances around the shower, letting the water wash away all his worries and cares for just a few minutes.

With a soft rustle, the shower curtain is pulled back, revealing Buck's tall frame entering the shower. He slides in behind Eddie, his warm body pressing against Eddie's back as they stand under the hot spray of water, swaying to the beat together.

The steam from the shower fills the air, enveloping them in a cocoon of intimacy. Buck's arms wrap around Eddie's waist, pulling him closer as he hums along with the song and presses kisses to the scar on the back of Eddie's shoulder.

Eddie leans back into the embrace, letting Buck hold him, both finding comfort in such a simple act.

They stand there for a moment, just breathing and feeling each other's presence as Wynter Gordon sings, "Feel the kiss, And smile so softly, We're just friends, But I like you slightly, We won't cross the line, We'll go on a proper date some time, Just a boy and a girl, Just us two in a world."

Eddie spins to face his husband as the song continues, "A little bit of talk, a little bit of pleasure, A little bit of making out and then we work it out, A little smokey-smoke, tell me a dirty joke, Up on your roof, up on your roof, And we don't need nobody to have a little party, It's just us two, just us two, And we don't need nobody, cause we go ladi dadi, Just us two, me and you, me and you," Eddie's heart pounds in his chest as he leans forward, his body pressed against Buck's.

He tilts his head slightly, and their lips meet in a fiery kiss, tongues swirling in sync to the rhythm of the music blasting from the speakers. As they deepen the kiss, Eddie feels a rush of desire and love for Buck wash over him. He feels the blood rush to his cock as Buck wraps his hand around him.

Buck reluctantly breaks the kiss but lays his head on Eddie's shoulder. "As much as I would love to stay here and ravage you, we need to hurry up. We have dinner reservations; Wes will kill us if we are late. He needs us tonight."

Eddie nods understandingly. Wes is going to be in rough shape after the day they had. They all knew it, but Wes's pre-warning them that he was going to have an attack had Eddie even more on edge. He knows that they will have plenty of time to lose themselves in each other another time. They needed to prioritize Wes right now. His eyes meet Buck's, and he asks, "How is he?"
