This chapter is really crappy, I'm so sorry, I had lost inspiration, (again) fucking writers block. So anyways, who starts school soon? Or who is already in school? I start my first year of high school September 8th. To say I'm scared is kind of an understatement, I am terrified. I just moved to a new place, so I know absolutely nobody and stuff, I have no idea what high school is gonna be like, if you have any advice, please share, I need all the help I can get. Thanks, enjoy the crappy chapter :)
Ariel
The Peters had a nice home, 2 floors, 5 bed rooms, 2 bathrooms, a furnished living room, a well stocked kitchen, but it didn't feel like I belonged here. I belonged with my brother, in London, living in the house she had owned.
"Sorry it's a little bit messy." Mrs Peters said, hanging up a coat that had been thrown across the floor. "There are other children that live here."
I held in a groan at the thought of living with kids that I didn't know.
"Take your shoes off please."
I looked down at my red vans and slowly took them off my feet. I followed the 2 around the house as they pointed to each door and told me what was behind each door.
"This is where you'll be staying." She opened the room to show a decent sized room.
I walked in, setting my bag down on the bed and looking around, fighting the urge to burst into tears again.
"We'll call you up for dinner."
I nodded, listening as they closed my door, leaving me alone in the room that suddenly felt 2 sizes smaller.
I squeezed my eyes shut to prevent the tears from escaping and sat down on the bed to stop myself from falling over.
I took in a deep breath, letting it out slowly to calm myself.
I opened my eyes, looking around the room, taking in another deep breath and exhaling to try and calm myself.
"This isn't that bad." I spoke quietly to myself, trying to convince myself that I could do this. Only 10 more months until my birthday, then I could go get Dean and we could leave and never turn back.
I got up off my bed, taking a few steps so I could stand in front of the mirror that was hanging up on the wall.
My red hair was fading a little bit and my blonde roots were starting to show a little bit at the top. I'd have to dye it soon or it would piss me off to no extent. My brown eyes appeared dull and lifeless, also red from crying all the time. My skin was paler than usual, and dark circles lay under my eyes, giving the impression that I haven't slept in years.
I ran over to my bag, grabbing my makeup and went back to the mirror, filling in my face so I actually looked like a normal human being. As I added the last bit on mascara to my eyelashes, I packed away my makeup and stepped back to look at myself. I hadn't done much, only enough to make me look like I was a real person again. As I put the makeup back into my bag, someone had knocked on the door.
I stumbled a little, walking over to the door but I opened it to show a boy.
He was a couple inches taller than me, his hair was dyed blue and was almost covering his eyes, those eyes were a dark blue, but his eyelashes were the kind of eyelashes that every girl wanted. His skin was pale, but of course not as pale as me though. There was something comforting about him, I didn't understand it. "Who are you?" I asked, finally speaking.
"Patty." He told me. "You must be Ariel." I nodded. "Kim told me to come you for dinner." He stepped back, allowing me to walk out of the room and shut the door. I followed Patty up the stairs and bit my lip nervously as we approached the dining room where 3 more kids sat. All appeared to be younger than me but looks fool.
"Sit down Ariel." Kim, who was Mrs Peters, told me, gesturing to the open seat.
I sat down quietly, feeling the eyes of the other 3 kids on me.
"Now it's not nice to stare." She scolded the other children who quickly averted their eyes and stared down at their plates.
Patty reached forwards to start dishing some food onto his plate but stopped when Kim let out a tiny cough.
"We say grace before we eat, you know that Patty."
I looked around at each of the people around this table and watched as they bowed their heads to give thanks to the God that didn't exist.
I leaned my head down slightly but didn't bring my hands up like they did. Patty met my eyes across the table and gave an eyeroll.
"You 2." He mouthed, gesturing with his head to the people around us.
I just shrugged, not quite sure what he was talking about. As the family finished their grace, Kim frowned at the 2 of us but sad nothing.
"Dig in Ariel." She smiled at me. "We have enough to go around."
