When you lose someone to death you never get them back, it's just not what nature intended. Once you've lost them, there is no more reliving memories, no more late night chats, you no longer have that one person who you always thought be there for you. There's just no way of turning back the clock.

It's became of this that, when you lose that person it's so hard to accept they're gone, because you never pictured life without them, you never thought you needed too. It might take months, or even years for us to accept that the person we love is gone, but no matter what, we must remember that they will always stay with us. They walk among us, watching over us like silent angels, directing us into life's path, while watching out for obstacles. I refused to accept the fact I had lost her and that she was no longer my partner, my other half, but I knew I had too. I kept ignoring what I was hearing, hoping and praying that they would stop and disappear out of this world, but they didn't, and I knew at some point I would have to open my ears and listen. I needed to come out of this bubble I created for myself and come down to reality. I had to accept those dreadful words that were knocking on my skull, begging for me to listen, no matter how much I wanted to ignore those words. They were true, they were right, and most importantly they were my reality. The angel of death had taken another life.

"She's gone Zayn and I am so sorry."

Zayn's POV:

I woke up to the feeling of someone jumping on me. It was nothing new to me. I shut my eyes tighter and pulled the bed sheet over my head.

"Daddy! Wake up!" She called in her girly high pitched voice.

"Mmm." I groaned making her believe I was still sleeping.

I could feel her crawling over my legs and crawling up to my face were she poked my forehead with her small index finger. I held my smile hidden under the covers but she kept poking me.

I pulled the covers off quicly and screamed BOO before I grabbed her as she squealed. I sat up and layed her on her back betweent my legs in one swift moment and began to tickle her. He beautiful giggles filled the house.

"Stop! Daddy Stop! Please!" She begged me but I continued.

"Tell me you love me and give me a big kiss!" I offered. I puckered my lips for her.

"I love you!" She said and I bent down for her to reach my lips so she could leave a kiss, which she did so I stopped.

"I love you too princess." I said and she sat up cross legged across of me.

"What are we doing today daddy?" She asked innocently as she played with the hem of her Tinkerbell nightgown.

I took a deep inhale of breathe and then exhaled deeply. I looked to my left at my night stand where my alarm clock stood. I read the date and time.

December 24, 2015 ; 8:36 AM.

"Baby." I started and she looked up from the hem of her nightgown. "What day is it today?" I asked her.

"Christmas Eve!" She shouted excitedly and I smiled at her entusiasm but that wasn't the exact answer I was looking for.

"Do you remember what we did last Christmas Eve before opening presents?" I asked trying to hint it to her. She furrowed her eyebrows trying to remember.

"With your aunties and uncles? Where did we go?" I asked her.

Suddenly her eyes lit up and her mouth turned into an "O" shape. "We went to see mummy!"
