Chapter 9

Taylor had practice the next day, so Kim and I had made plans to have breakfast. 

I felt guilty over what had happened last night.  I didn’t speak much; just stared at my orange juice that sat in front of me.

“Ok Baby girl what’s going on?” Kim said putting her fork down and making me look at her.

“We fought” I softly said.

She sighed. “Again?”

I nodded.

“What about?”

I couldn’t tell her it was about Jordan cheating.

“Something stupid”

“Must have not been that stupid for you to be this sad over it”

“Just” I said trying to word my words very carefully. “Jordan is cheating on Lauren”

Her eyes widened.

“Yeah, and well I mentioned something too Taylor like if I was cheating on him, wouldn’t he expect Ryan or Jackie too tell him something was up, and he took that saying that I was cheating, then I slapped him”

“Please say he didn’t hit you back?” she said worried.

“No, God no!”

She closed her eyes, and then opened them with a relieved look on her face. “I know I taught my son better”

“We made up” I said as my finger circled around my juice glass. “But two fights in two days, things were so much better Windsor”

The waitress brought the bill. “I’m going to have too a little talking too with my son” she said getting her wallet out.

I smiled. “We are both at fault, I mean, what Jordan and Lauren do is their business, not mine and Taylor”

“Your right, but what if Lauren found out that you knew Jordan was cheating on her?”

“What should I do?” I asked getting up. “Taylor said he was going to talk too Jordan when Lauren leaves.”

“At least I know my son has a conscience”

Taylor’s POV

After practice my dad wanted to have lunch, just him and I. He said him and I needed to have a talk. So I took him to the steak place near my place.

“So you mom tells me that Nico told her about your guys little tiff”

Nico never mentioned that she said anything to my mom about the first fight, but it doesn’t surprise me. My mom and Nico were extremely close.

I nodded. “Yep” I said as I took a sip of my water. “We had another one last night”

My dad lowered his shaking head. “What were they about?”

I sighed. “The first one was about me not paying attention to her..”

“Well is she right?” my dad said cutting me off.

“Probably, but Dad you know how it is when you’re a professional athlete, I mean you played football”

“Yes son I do, but I also know what she is feeling” he said. “She’s you’re girlfriend, and if you even want her to consider moving here in the future you better pay her some attention, or you are going to lose her” he said as the waitress brought our food. “Do you want that?” he asked.
