Song: “Baby Please Come Home” Anberlin. (Song in external)

Finally Christmas came, I was so excited. I was leaving on the 27th for Edmonton, and staying till the fifth of January. I was having Taylor withdrawals. I technically didn’t get to spend Christmas with him, but I didn’t care, I was spending ten days with him. Taylor had told me to dress warm, but you know me, if we go out, I’m not going to make my man look bad.

I wasn’t wearing what I normally wore when I traveled; normally I wore a sweat shirt and yoga pants. But today was different. Today I wore this sweater dress, with a black lace cami, a pair of my skinny jeans, and gray flats. I thought I looked cute. The plane had landed, and I couldn’t wait to see him. The normal me would have went to the bathroom, and made sure my makeup and hair was in its place. But not today, I was basically running down the terminal. He told me he’d meet me in baggage claim, but when I arrived at baggage claim he was nowhere to be found. I looked everywhere, as a twinge of worry ate at me. Taylor is never late for anything.

Then I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

“Hello?” I asked not even looking at the name.

“Looking for me” I heard his voice.

I smiled. “Where are you?”

“Turn around”

I slowly turned around, and there he was standing a far off. I instantly dropped my bags, and made a run for him. You know how you see in movies, where the girl drops her stuff and run’s into the arms of the guy? Well that’s exactly it was for us. I jumped into his strong arms, and nuzzled my face into his neck smelling his nice cologne that I loved.

“Nice to see you too” He said.

I pulled looking into his blue eyes, I missed those eyes.

“I missed you so much” I said in a low whisper.

“Baby you have no idea how much I missed you”

I smirked. “Why don’t you show me?”

He leaned down, gently kissing my lips, but I wasn’t having it. I deepened the kiss, slipping my tongue past his lips, exploring what was mine, and running my fingers through his hair.

He pulled back abruptly. “Baby, you’re going to get us in trouble” he whispered.

I smiled coyly. “I like trouble” I whispered.

“God, woman, let’s get your luggage before I embarrass myself” He said grabbing my hand.

The drive to his apartment wasn’t too long. The whole ride he wouldn’t let go of my hand. It was like when he was back in Windsor again. Oh how I longed for those days.

He was telling me how practice went that day, but you know how it is with me and hockey; it goes in one ear and out the other. I kept looking at him; he looks older every time I see him. He was stylish now. When he was in Windsor, either me, my aunt Gina, or Kim would pick out his clothes. I looked at what he was wearing and pretty impressed at what I saw. He was wearing one of those black sweaters that have a zip up collar, but he had it unzipped so you could see his neck a bit, and a pair of nice jeans. Since it was winter he was wearing a gray winter coat.  It was safe to say that he has made a step up from having me pick out his clothes.

“Well here it is” He said opening the door to his apartment.

When I stepped into the door, and it screamed bachelor pad. A big leather couch in the living room. Huge plasma TV on the wall above the fire place. Black curtains on the windows. I did love how open it was. His kitchen was nice and big, which I liked, but he didn’t have a dining room table. I looked at the wall and he had his jersey and I’m guessing his roommate’s jersey on the wall. He had told me he was sharing the apartment with one of his teammates, but I didn’t meet any of them when he was in Detroit.
