I was jealous. Jealousy turned into anger. Anger turned into fury at this scenario of pure betrayal. I couldn't believe I was hearing this from my best friend. My best friend who's been my friend since age 10. Why? Am I even hearing this correctly. Aren't my ears deceiving me somehow?
"Y-you're kidding me, right?" I can't help but look at him in disgust. "Tell me...."
I bow my head to keep him from seeing my glazed eyes.
"Tell me this isn't true...?"
"I wouldn't lie to you now, would I, Scott?" his voice is shaky. Why would he be upset?
I have nothing to do except shake my head in denial. "First you drive me away from her just for some stupid concert...then you take her away from me by...." I laughed at how ridiculous this sounded. I looked straight into his eyes. "I can't believe you..."
"Doesn't Pentatonix's success mean anything to you?!" he shouted. "What happened to the group?!"
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "I do care Mitch! I gave up the one person that meant the world to me to go to that concert! I gave her up for the four, most amazing, most precious people in my life. I chose you over Elsa." By now my tears were begging to come out.
"You watched me break to pieces. At least Kirstie cared."
"That was only a façade. An act. She still isn't over you."
Now I've heard it all. Both of my best friends betrayed me. And here I thought friends are supposed to be there for each other. Be happy for each other. Ha.
"Tell me you ignored it." I was expecting only the worst from here on out.
Mitch dropped his head and if I hadn't listened as carefully as I did, I wouldn't hear him say:
"I kissed her."
I couldn't take it anymore. I just shook my head and disgust and started walking. Just as I reached the door I heard someone come after me.
"Scott, please wait?"
Kirstie.
"Not now. I need to find Elsa."
"Please just wait?"
I stopped and turned around. "You knew, didn't you?"
She nodded.
"You know you never told me how you felt. Not for real. But just because I didn't feel entirely the same doesn't mean you go behind my back and..."
For some reason a part of me gave in. I went numb. The anger wasn't doing me good and I hated being mad at my best friends. Feeling a sudden flash of guilt I walked off again.
"Scott!" I stopped.
"She's at Greystone warehouse. That's if someone didn't find her."
With that I set off to find my her.

With slow and steady (sort of steady) steps I manage to find my way home. Walking in and closing the door behind me I hear my parents rushing up to me.
"Elsa! Where have you been? We've been worried sick!" My mom asks with worry. My head is still pounding and I'm out of breath.
"Someone....tried to..." I try to get my words out but the next thing I know I fall into my dad's arms.
Lights out.

He takes a sip of his coffee and gives her a satisfying smirk. She stares at him grimly, trying to read his thoughts.
