Chapter 5: Lucy's first job

Lucy's POV

After meeting Natsu's crew I notice that night was coming fast, my father is probably not caring about me, he just wanted to get rid of me. As I walk back to Natsu's cabin and shut the door, I go over to the desk in the corner of the room and rest my head there on my arms. I was tried even though I just took a nap a couple of hours ago. The door opens as I'm half asleep, my eyes drift open and I see a sideways Natsu's starring at me. I tilt my head so I can see correctly, my vision still getting adjusted to the light in his room. I turn my head the other way to find Happy, Natsu's cat also starting at me with wide eyes

|AN I'm getting two fairy tail shirts in a few days I'm so happy!!!|

"Happy?" I mumble

"Lucy, are you tired?" Happy says

"Just a little.." I mumble back, I then flip my head over back to Natsu, who is now smiling at me.

"You can sleep in my bed tonight, and I will sleep on the floor, is that ok?" Natsu says.

"I can sleep on the floor, it's fine." I say starting to stand up.

"No, I'm going to-" I cut him off

"I like sleeping on the ground, I do it all the time." I lie, but I don't mine.

" it's the least I can do for you Natsu." I say.

"Are you sure Lucy?" Natsu said placing his hands on my shoulder trying to set me down on his bed.

"Yes, I'm sure of it." I said

Natsu then led me to were they keep extra,pillows, blankets etc. he offered to make my bed but I did it myself trying to give him a less harder time.
When I laid down in my blankets Natsu then walked in with only pants on. I felt my face heat up fast so I covered my face with the soft blanket and flipped over to my stomach.

"Oi, Lucy are you ok?" Natsu speaks.

"Yup, I'm fine just, going to go to bed.." I say nervously.

Just then I feel a paw to the face....

"Lucy... Can I sleep with you tonight?" Happy whispers in my ear.

"Of corse you can Happy." I whisper back lifting up the blanket so Happy can snuggle next to me.

I guess Natsu got into bed and fell asleep after we did because I woke up when he opened the door with a loud bang!! I watch his silhouette walk past me, I closed my eyes once again, then shot back open with another loud Crash!!!!!!!

My skin jumped right out of me when the sounded boomed in my ear drum. I look over to find Natsu next to me passed out, I guess his crew was drinking before they all went to sleep. But once again was was back to sleep.

I awoke to birds chirping and a blue cat shaking me, followed by a pinker too.
I open my eyes fully to both boys looking at me with worry.

They both sigh with relief.

"What happen?" I asked.

"I don't know but you didn't wake up for like half an hour." Natsu says helping me stand up.

"That weird." I say.

"Oi, Lucy I need to do something's today, do you think you can go out to the forest and grab somethings?"
Natsu ask.

"Sure!" I reply back.

"Good, I made a list just incase you forgot." He says with a toothy grin.

As I walk deeper into the forest I've gathered most of the things on my list

•berries
•birch leaves
•birch wood
• dandelions
• acorns
•corn
And last some dark oak wood

I got everything on my list but the last one, it was impossible to find anything that looked like dark oak.

I then tripped and fell on a tree root and then was shot up in the air in a large net bag, I let out a loud scream, from the fall and how I got in there, I was a trap. I didn't know anything on how to get out of traps. I then look to see what's as supporting this trap, and the one and only.... Dark oak tree.
I silently cheered in my mind, but there was no time for that, if I wanted that dark oak I was going to need to get out of here first, but when I looked down. It was a far drop. My basket was down there two for when I was trapped my basket was placed on the ground.
I was pulling the rope apart when a hole was made large enough for me to slip through. I first look down to see if no one was around, there was no one there to see me fail.

I jumped down and fell right onto my upward back, I then yelped loud enough for it to echo, but to make everything worse, the net fell on top of me and I again screamed in surprise.

When I stood up I fell over again from the impact of me and a another creature... It was Happy.

"Lucy are you ok!!" Happy cried.

" Yes, no, yes I'm fine." I finally say.

"I saw you fall from the tree and came to see what happen." Happy said.

When I finally got everything Natsu wanted happy and I walk back to were Natsu and happy where. We then walk back to the boat and had fun the rest of the night.
