Chapter 27: I've got to go

Lucy's POV

Natsu then slipped on the small shoes and I could finally feel my small feet again.

"Are you okay?" Natsu asked.

"Yes I'm fine, but I should be going my father must be worried sick." I say starting to walk back to my home, when suddenly I feel myself being launched forward.

"Come on Lucy!!" I hear to then have a smile appear on my face.

But the smile suddenly faded as we walked further and further in to the forest.

"Hey Natsu?" I ask.

"What?" He said stopping, to then turn and face me.

"Will... You stay the night at my house, thing have been rough and I would just like to have a friend over..." I studded, and it was true. My father was getting older and older.

"Okay.." He said dragging me again.

As we reached the front of the doors, I quickly swung the doors open to escape from the cold. But all I heard was some horrid screaming, it was a male.

"Father!" I shout running towards the sound.

"Lucy!" I hear after me.

I open the rooms to my father on the floor, coughing up blood... The window was open, blowing it's cold snow into the room.

"Dad?!" I scream, water falling down my face.

"Lucy? Oh Lucy..." He breathed.

"What happens?!" I said starting to freak out.

"I'm old, I'm dying...." He breathed. 

"No don't go!" I screamed.

"I have to go..."  Is what he said, his eyes then shut and his breath blew out.

I backed away from my fathers corpse and pressed to back against  the wall, letting tears flow farther down my face.

"Lucy?!" I hear down the hall.

I let a few sniffles leave my lips as I watch my father lay there, watching the blood drip from his mouth.

"Lucy?" I hear, and when I look over to the door Natsu is standing in the door frame.

But my body couldn't hold any more pain, and I fall to the cold hard ground, without pain pounding in my heart.

When I woke up, I noticed my white roof in an instant. But I didn't notice that I was alone.

"Hello?" I screamed. When just then a gust of wind blew over me, but it was burning hot... My body got so hot that I shot the covers off myself and ran to the window. Fire was everything.

"Natsu!" I shouted.

I was then blinded by a dark object. But when I took it away from my eyes I saw that it was only, Natsu's scarf.

I quickly wrapped it around my neck and looked further over the balcony.

My body was then falling to the ground, and when I looked up it was... Natsu.

He had Demond swirls around his face and arm, and his pink hair was much longer then before. I saw the fear on his face as pain shot through my body. He then jumped down to me, I had no choice. I couldn't move...

He lifted me up and, swung me into a hug. My body was giving up at that point... I could finally see my mother, my father... And everyone. I let tears role down my face. And I felt tears role down further and further.

"I'm sorry Lucy..." Was all I heard until my body lifted up.
