Chapter 11: memories that faded

Lucy's POV

After Gray push Natsu off the side of the boat I know he would have ran after me. So before he could do that, I ran for the forest, my legs ached after a while but I didn't stop, my tears that flowed down my face burned my salty skin. When I reached the field were I met Natsu, I saw the tree were I fell off of. It was a huge cherry blossom tree with beautiful green vines swooping down from it. Behind the tree was a huge lake, but for fairies it was a huge ocean. As I ran to the trunk of the tree, I looked up to were I fell, I saw a way I could climb up there. However in the distance I could hear Gray, or Natsu, I couldn't tell who it was. As I grabbed in to the branch above me I pulled myself up the tree.

When I finally reach the top I could spot who was chasing me, It was the boy who's hair was as pink as the petals growing on this tree.

"Lucy!! Get down here now!" I heard Natsu scream.

I just sat at the top of the tree facing towards the lake, and facing away from Natsu. Memories flashed through my mind and then gathered into one giant tear rushing down my face.

"Lucy! Get down here now!" Natsu commanded.

I ignored Natsu and looked alone the large lake, this lake had a river connecting to the ocean. As if leaving was that easy.

"Lucy I'm coming up!" Natsu shouted making me jump. Scrambling for my potion.
After reaching and scrambling for the potion I finally graves the right bottle and took a sip from the container.
When I looked down I saw a glimpse of the pink hair boy half way up the tree.
My potion started to work and I chanted ' faster' in my head. Natsu was just about to grab my small body, but just in time I leaned back and fell into one of those squirrel homes, I slid to the farthest point of hole and tried to make my body small as possible. Natsu though was very desperate to finally get me I felt like he was my father, my fear slightly rose as I watch him try to find away to get me.

"Lucy come here!" He shouted, shaking the whole tree.

Suddenly he sticks his hand into the tree and starts to wave it around trying to feel were I am.

"Lucy... Come out!" He says again.

When he sticks his hand in again he is holding a stick with a little flame at the top and sets it in the tree giving me light. He then tries once again to get me and his one finger brushes up against my hair.

"Found you!" He shouts.

His hand then shoots into the tree and smashes into the bark next to me, leaving a cut on my arm from his nail, he then quickly pulls his hand out.

"Lucy! Just come here!" Natsu yells.

My eyes were wide as could be, my heart beating fast, and my body still as stone. Natsu then takes a glimpse into the hole and looks at my terrified face, he then looks away from the tree hole and sighs.

"I'm sorry Lucy, but I have to do this." He says.

Suddenly he punches the hole and the hole becomes wider, as bark flies everywhere I shield my my face, but when I remove my hands one larger hand is coming for me. I fall to the ground crying, like I would do at my horrid home.

"Natsu!!!" I here another man shout

"Go away Gray!" Natsu shouts back.

"Leave Lucy alone!" Gray replies

"Make me!" Natsu shouts back.

All I felt next was something hit the bark behind me, when I look to the left all I saw was ice spears next to me. The next was water in my face. The tree had fallen into the lake, soon I would run out of air. Natsu tries one more time grab a hold of me, I wasn't looking until I saw four fingers on my right and a thumb on my left. I sat down hopping that would stop Natsu from getting me but that resulted me under water, so when I came up for air...

All I felt was a hard squeeze around my waist. I was then dragged out of the hole and into the water.

Under the water I managed to get out of his grip and try to make a swim for it, I finally reached air and I felt my heart beating out of my chest. I turn around and see that Natsu is not that far behind me, I can't fly because my wings would be wet if I did.

Suddenly I was trapped in a jar half full of air and the other half with water.
I screamed until my voice wheat horse.

" Let me out!!" I screamed

"This is for your good Lucy.." Natsu says.

"How is this for my own good!!" I scream, suddenly all the water was being poured out, what I didn't see was that Natsu was all ready on land, he then opens the lid and reaches for me once again. When he grabs onto me he places me into his pocket like I'm some loose change.

As I sit there in his pocket, I silently cry, letting everything out, I've may have let out a sniff or two because I suddenly feel one large finger playing with my golden hair, as I swat his finger away, it just keeps coming back. After a while I just let it be and continue silently crying.

"Lucy?" I hear Natsu say, brushing his smallest finger to my face.

I push his finger a side as I look out of his pocket. We're back one the boat and in Natsu's cabin. I don't bother talking to Natsu, I just jump out of his pocket and run. I run to the farthest corner, under his desk.

All I hear next is the following over to wear I am, Natsu then lays on the floor and stares at me.

"Lucy?" Natsu says, reaching for me.

"Yes.." I mumble.

"I need to show you something.." As he wraps his and around my waist.

We then walks out side and shoves the bottle at my mouth forcing me to drink the liquid. As I cough up most of the drink I open my eyes to find Natsu standing on the edge of the boat.

"Push me." He says without thought.

I walk over to him and lightly push his shoulder, as he is falling he grabs my hand and drags me in.

"Natsu!!" I yell.

As we crash into the water together Natsu comes up laughing, however I come up holding my hand to my arm from were Natsu scratch me.
As I'm trying to calm myself from the sudden pain, Natsu takes my arm and presses his lips to the cut.

Tomorrow is Monday, Monday means school, school means no posting, but I will try I promise. However I get home at 6 o'clock. So y'all will have to wait.
