Chapter 4: Learning Control

　

ANTHONY'S POV

　

On our way to school I couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with Rosemary. She has been acting funny since we started school, did she not like it I wondered. I overheard dad and grandpa talking this morning about what to do with her and her power. I was rather confused as to what they were talking about. Was I missing something that was going on? Rosemary always seems like the cheery and upbeat one but since we went to school she has acted different. I wanted to ask her about it but I didn;t want her to think I was nosy. But then again she is my sister and I think I should know if something is bothering her so I could help her.

Once we got to school and said bye to mom and grandma we headed into class. On the way I told Masen to go on and I stayed back with Rosemary. "Are you alright?" I asked.

She just looked at me at first, like she was confused. "Yes," she said "I am fine."

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yeah," she said with a smile. "I just feel alittle out of place here, but I am fine."

I didn't say anymore as we headed into the class and took our seats. I could tell Rosemary was still alittle uneasy. But she didn;t seem to want to tell me what was wrong so I didn;t want to push her.

As the day went on I didn't notice to much, Rosemary seemed to be fine now so I just let it go and went on about the day. We did our lessons then headed to lunch. Masen, Rosemary and I all sat at the same table. Two other boys asked if they could join us. Masen and I both said yeah but Rosemary seemed alittle nervous about them.

"You alright?" I asked leaning towards her.

"Not really." she said "Will you trade me places?"

I was alittle confused but I did it anyway. I let Rosmary sit on the edge of the bench and I sat beside her. "What's wrong?" I whispered.

"I don't want to accidently touch them." she said.

Now it made sense, she is scared of accidently showing someone her power. So that is what the conversation this morning was about. I heard dad say something about controlling power but didn't understand until now. They are going to teach Rosemary to control her power so she don't expose us.

I smiled at Rosemary. "I will always protect you." I said.

"Thanks." she said smiling back.

Once lunch was over we headed back to class, the day was almost over then we would be going home. Tomorrow was saturday so we didn't have to go to school, maybe over the weekend the family will work with Rosemary.

　

　

ROSEMARY'S POV

　

　

As the school day was coming to an end I was excited about the upcoming weekend, I wasn't sure what was going on but mom said the family wanted to teach me something. I was curious about what it was. I felt alittle better now that mom and Anthony knew what was going on, mom knew more but Anthony knows now to keep between me and others so nothing happens.

The day hadn't been to bad, Anthony and Masen made friends with the two boys that sat with us at lunch. I just hope they don't think I was being stuck up or something because I had Anthony switch me places. I was just afraid of bumping into them. Anyway now that school is over we are heading to meet mom and grandma in the parking lot. When we got to the car Anthony and Masen got into the backseat and mom smiled at me.

"How did it go?" she asked.

"It went alright." I said smiling, then I got in the backseat and we headed home.

When we got home everyone was gone. "Where is everyone?" I asked.

"They are getting ready for the weekend." Grandma said "We are all going camping."

"Really?" I said. "Yay, I can't wait." We all loved camping, we would usually go near the reserve so we were always protected. Anthony, Masen and I all went upstairs to pack.

When i got to my room I started getting ym stuff together, I was really excited about the weekend. We were going camping and I knew it was going to be a blast. It always was. As I was getting everything together mom knocked on the door.

"Can I come in?" she asked.

"Of course." I replied smiling. She walked in and sat on the bed. "I can't wait to go camping."

"I figured you would be excited." she said smiling. "We also have a surprise for you."

"Really?" I asked "What is it?"

"You will see when we get there." she said laughing. "Your dad, grandad and grandpa all have a big surprise for you as well as your grandma.

I was more excited now, I wondered what it could be. Maybe it would be something special. I did hear them overtalking this morning about teaching me something but I didn't know what they meant. Maybe this is what it was. Maybe it would be about my powers or something. I couldn't wait. Once we were all packed we got into the car and headed out.

　

　

BELLA'S POV

　

Carlisle, Edward and Jacob all planned this camping trip after the kids went to school this morning. Edward and Carlisle are going to teach Rosemary how to control her power. Jasper and Alice are even going to help. Rosalie, Renesmee, Emmett and Esme are going to do stuff with Masen and Anthony. Jacob, Seth, Sam, Quil and Embry are going to teach them to fish and stuff as well. Which will be good for them to learn, mostly for a hobby or fun. Tomorrow I am going to teach Rosemary how to accept herself for who she is. I know how hard it is to be different and feel like you don't fit in. We have it all planned out, it is going to be a great time.

Once we got to the camp site we got situated. Rosalie and Esme decided to put up the tents while Jacob, Emmett, Seth, Sam, Quil and Embry took Masen and Anthony fishing. Carlisle and Edward took Rosmary to the side and told her what they were going to do.

"Really?" Rosemary asked "Your really going to help me to control my powers? Oh thank you."

"Yes," Carlisle replied. "Jasper and Alice are helping as well."

"And Bella is going to teach you how to accept yourself." Edward said as he smiled at me.

"Thank you all so much." Rosemary said giving everyone a big hug. So the training began.

I stood there and watched Edward, Alice and Jasper teach Rosemary how they control their powers. Carlise didn't have a power really, other then he had good control over being a vampire which was a great power is you ask me. As the day progressed on Rosemary was starting to learn that her power don't have to go off when touching someone. Alittle later Renesmee joined in on the training since she has a power as well. It reminded me of when she was having her slumber party and she accidently showed her friends what she was. She knew how to control her power but she was upset and forgot about it.

"Make sure you always keep a level head." I said trying to remind them of that moment without actually saying it. Renesmee looked at me and smiled, she knew what I meant and was glad I didn't bring it up.

"Yes," Renesmee said "No matter how mad or upset you get you always have to keep your control."

"Alright." Rosemary said with a smile. The training seemed to be going well.

As it started getting dark the guys came back, Anthony and Masen each caught 3 fish. The others caught some as well so that was what they were going to eat. Sam and Jacob built a fire and taught Masen and Anthony how to cook the fish.

After everyone ate they headed to bed. Jacob, Renesmee, and Rosemary had a tent and Masen and Anthony had one. It was alittle odd but we didn't really want Rosemary in the tent with the boys, just a precautionary thing I guess. She was fine with being in the tent with her mom and dad. The boys have been having a bonding weekend so it was nice seeing them getting close, sort of like brothers.
