BELLA'S POV

　

　

As the party went on I started to worry, I was worried about Leah. What is she came back and attacked Charlie, would Seth and Sue really be able to stop her? Would they let the others stop her? I was afraid something was going to happen to Charlie. I was still up in the den with Edward, he would sense my fear and discomfort. He held me tight to his chest and kissed the top of my head over and over again.

"Everything will be alright Bella," he said "I promise."

I looked up at him, I looked deep into his eyes, I knew he meant well but I also knew that the look in his eyes was unsure. He was unsure whether or not they would be able to stop Leah before she did something drastic, I knew he wanted me to be calm and trust them but I could also tell that he knew I knew he was unsure. He has never been able to hide his pain and feelings around me, I can always tell when something is bothering him and he knows this.

"I know." I said trying to make him feel better. I wanted to trust him, I wanted to believe that nothing would happen. But deep down I knew that there was a possibility that Leah might hurt Charlie, and that I would have to stop her. Edward knew this too, he knew I wasn;t going to let Leah hurt my dad and that I would fight her myself in order to protect him.

"Please Bella," he said "If it comes to it, please don't loose your control."

"I'll try." I said as I half smiled at him. He kissed me on the lips then we headed downstairs.

On the way down the doorbell rang, it scared me alittle bit, could it be Leah? Would she really ring the doorbell? I didn't know what to think, in that instant Edward shot to the door and opened it, much to my relief it was only Jane and Samuel.

"Jane, Samuel," Esme said as she stood beside Edward. "It's so nice to see you again, won't you please come in."

"You too." Jane said as her and Samuel walked inside.

Everyone went over and started talking to them, it has been a good while since we seen them last. I wondered what made them return. I looked at Edward who was looking at Alice. Both of them had a weird look on their faces, I knew something was up, Alice was having a vision and Edward was seeing it in her mind. After Alice snapped back she looked at Edward then at me, Edward then turned and looked at me.

"What is it?" I asked as I walked towards them. "Is it about Leah?"

"We need to go somewhere quiet." Edward said, then he went and whispered to Carlisle, who then followed Edward and Alice up the stairs. I was right behind them as we all went into the den.

　

　

　

　

ANTHONY'S POV

　

　

　

　

The party was going great, I was spending time with Addison, Rosemary set her new friend Emily up with Masen who seemed to be having a fun time with her, and the rest of the guests were having fun. I did notice Grandma and Grandpa going upstairs which wasn't too odd but after Jane and Samuel came back they went back upstairs along with Alice and Grandad. I was alittle confused by this but I didn't think to much of it.

While Addison and I were dancing I noticed Emily alone and Rosemary and Masen were no where in sight. "Where did Rosemary and Masen go?" I asked.

"I'm not sure." Addison replied looking around.

I walked over to Emily. "Hey, where's Masen?"

"I don't know," she said "He said he had to go then ran out the door."

I turned and looked towards the door. "What about Rosemary?" I asked.

"She asked where Masen went and when I told her she went out after him." she replied "I'm not sure what happened but I think I am going to go. Tell Masen Happy Birthday for me please." then she walked away.

I wasn;t to sure what was going on, Masen seemed fine earlier now he was outside in the dark and Rosemary went after him. "I will be back." I said to Addison as I walked towards the door. I looked out into the night and I wasn't able to see anything so I went out the door and towards the woods.

　

　

　

　

　

　

ROSEMARY'S POV

　

　

　

　

I followed Masen outside and down to the begining of the woods, he sat down on an old fallen tree. "Masen?" I said as I walked towards him. "Are you alright?" he was silent at first but as I got closer he seemed nervous.

"I just needed some air." he said with his back still to me. I walked closer and sat beside him.

"Did something happen with Emily?" I asked. Masen just looked at me, he seemed reluctant to answer but then he looked back at the ground.

"No." he replied

"Then what happened?" I asked. I was curious to know why he ran off like he did. I thought he liked Emily, was he afraid or something.

"Please talk to me Masen." I said as I touched his arm. He flinched away from me a bit. I scooted closer to him. "I thought you liked Emily." He just looked at me, His face shinned in the moonlight and I could see the sadness in his eyes. "Don't you?" He turned away from me once again, he was silent as we just sat there. I touched his arm again, "Masen?" he turned towards me.

"Not like that." he replied

I was silent for a moment, I was sure he liked her but now he's saying he don't. "Okay," I said "Then why have you been acting weird and staring at her then?"

Once again it was silent, he looked up at the moon the back at me. "I wasn't staring at her." he said "I was staring at you."

I was confused, why would he be staring at me? He sees me everyday. "What?" I asked "I don't understand."

Masen turned and faced me, he looked me right in the eyes. "I love you Rosemary." he said. I wasn't sure what was going on, things were happening so fast, then he kissed me. I closed my eyes as soon as I felt his lips touch mine. We were both so young but for some reason this felt so right.
