Chapter 20: Understanding

Ch.20-

ROSEMARY'S POV

As Masen and I continued to kiss I could feel an overwhelming sensation that I didn't understand, I gets all tingly and warm, as well as dizzy. I wasn't sure what was going on or what to do. I kept kissing masen then we started running our fingers through each others hair, by now the sensation was to much to bare.

"Stop!" I yelled as I pushed him away.

" I'm so sorry," Masen said "what did I do wrong?" I was silent for a few minutes, I didn't know what to say cause I didn't know what was going on. "please Rosemary, tell me what I did." he grabbed my hand as he pledged for me to tell him what was wrong.

As we sat there he held my hand but I didn't feel the sensation I had felt when we kissed, I was so confused. Maybe it had something to do with the kiss, the contact, the rush of emotions. I looked into his eyes and could see he was scared, scared he had done something wrong.

"It's alright," I said as I placed my hand on his cheek "it was just alittle overwhelming." then I smiled and laughed.

"oh, " he said with alittle laugh "I thought I had hurt you or something."

"of course not"I said laughing then I kissed him on the cheek and we sat there holding hands and talking.

A lot has went on this weekend and so much has changed, but alas we still had to move on with our so called normal lives and go back to school, it was going to be awkward facing Emily after Masen and I have ended up getting together. I know she likes him and I was the one who tried setting them up. I feel alittle bad about it but I have strong feelings for Masen now, guess I always have but never realized it until now.

ANTHONY'S POV

We sat there talking about different things, we would eventually have to tell our parents that the imprinting was more then just a wolf thing we really did care for one another. It is strange to think how you could fall for someone so quickly but it is true, you really can no matter how old you are. Addison made me feel complete, she was and always would be apart of me. I dont get to see her as much as I would like cause she goes to school on the reserve and now it was going to be more difficult since the feelings have gotten more sincere and deep.

Today was Monday and we had to go back to school, so much had happened over the weekend and I was almost all healed now after the fight with Leah. I healed alittle slower then most of the other wolves, mostly cause I was young and new to it. I hadn't had a chance to all to rosemary and masen about what had happened, I was so mad at masen but now I kinda know how he feels. I mean he don't imprint or anything but if he feels half of what I feel for Addison for rosemary then I can understand him more now, I just wish he would have told me before he told her. I thought we were good friends and family so to speak. Oh well I planned to talk to him today about it, I want his point of view before I talk to rosemary, plus I think she may still be freaked about the whole me being a wolf thing, I should have told her but I wasn't even sure what was all going on but maybe now she won't feel so out of place since she isn't the only one with a strange ability, even though hers is alittle more stranger then mine.

It wasnt like any other day, today mom took us to school with aunt Alice instead of grandma. "where's grandma? Rosemary asked when we were on our way to school. Aunt Alice and mom just looked at each other.

"well," mom replied "her and grandpa went hunting." the answer mom gave us was strange, grandma has went hunting before but she was always back in time to take us to school. I had a feeling something was going on, but I didn't know what it was.

Once we got to school mom gave rosemary and myself a kiss then her and aunt Alice left. "I wonder what that was about." I said as we all walked to class.

"I'm not sure," rosemary replied "it sure was strange." on the way to class I glanced over and noticed masen holding Rosemary's hand, I didn't feel angry I felt more sad, even though I had just seen Addison yesterday I missed her, it felt like part of me was missing.

We walked into class and sat down, the day seemed to drag by, finally it was lunch time, I had planned to talk to masen during lunch hopefully rosemary would sit with her friends like she usually did. We walked into the cafeteria and I hear masen tell rosemary, "yeah you should go talk to her." rosemary smiled then walked over and sat down beside Emily. I was happy she had went over there cause now I would be able to talk to masen.

"So masen," I said as we sat down at the table "Can we talk?" masen had this strange look on his face, almost like he was terrified as to what I was going to say.

"sure " he replied trying to sound calm.

"it's about rosemary" I said "I need to get some things straight." masen looked over towards rosemary who was sitting and talking to Emily.

"Anthony," he said "I should have told you about how I felt but I was afraid you would stop me from telling her." I just looked at him, he was right, I would have tried to stop him, I did try to take him out after he had told her. I realize now I wasn't being fair to him or rosemary, if they want to be together who am I to come between them.

"well," I replied "I probably would have, but I understand how you feel about her and I I think you two are good together." masen smiled then we both started eating lunch. I decided not to tell him what I was going to do or how I had felt when I found out and seen them kiss, it was water under the bridge now and thee was really no reason to make things more complicated so I gave my blessing and went on.

BELLA'S POV

Edward and I continued to follow the sound, he was convinced it was Leah and I trusted him so I went along. It was getting late and I knew the kids had to get up for school soon but I also wanted to cach Leah and find out what is going on with her.

"this way." Edward said and he darted off to the right. "she's right over this hill." we headed up the hill and as we topped over it there she was, she was standing guard in her wolf form growling at us. She was backed against a rock wall, she had no where to run.

"Leah?" I said as Edward and I stopped a few feet from her "we just want to talk." she growled even louder. I looked over at Edward "what is she thinking?"

"she is sure we are here to kill her for attacking rosemary." he replied

"Leah, we aren't going to hurt you" I said " we just want to know why you wanted to hurt rosemary." Edward got a strange look on his face "what is it? What is she thinking?"

"she says she was protecting her against another wolf, " he said " one she never heard or seen before, she says she sensed it was going to attack them."

"surly she was talking about Anthony " I said "and he was hunting them sort of, masen mostly is who he was after but he never would have attacked him or her."

"your right," Edward said " she said she didn't know it was anthony at the times so she was just trying to help, then after she found out it was him she though for sure Jacob or me would kill her." once Leah realized we weren't going to hurt her she phased and talked to us in human form, she explained what happened and how scared she was Jacob would want her blood for hurting anthony.

"I swear I didn't know it was him." Leah said.

"We know," I replied " I'm sure Jacob knows too, please come back with us so we can straighten it all out. We will protect you." Leah looked confused at first but then nodded, she then stepped ack and phased and she followed us ack to the house.
