BELLA'S POV

　

Well it was the day of Masen's birthday party, Rosalie,Alice,Esme, Mom, Sue and Emily we all decorating and getting stuff ready. Jacob, Sam, the other wolves, Emmett and Jasper were all out in the woods hunting and messing around. Carlisle and Edward were in the den, Anthony and Addison were all out back playing, Rosemary was in her room and Masen was with Sarah and Seth. They took him out cause Sarah wanted to buy him an outfit for his party, and I was sitting on the couch thinking. I was still wondering where Leah was, it has been along time and no one has heard anything from her. Charlie and Sue were to be married next month and I was really hoping Leah would be there and be happy for her mom. It had me alittle concerned that she hasn't made contact with her mom or even Seth, since she is a wolf usually they can hear the thoughts but apparently she is never in her wolf form cause they haven't been able to track her down through the wolf telephy.

As the day went on the house was looking great as always, there was decorations everywhere and food galore for the guests who were human or some form of human anyway. Seth, Sarah and Masen came back and Masen went upstairs to get dressed.

"Any word from Leah?" I asked Seth and him and Sarah sat down on the couch.

"Not yet." Seth replied "I am really worried about her, I know it was a shock when Charlie and mom got engaged but I didn;t think Leah would take it this hard."

"Me either." I replied as I sat down on the couch.

While we sat there in silence Masen came downstairs in his new clothes. "My you look handsome." I said as I miled at him."

"Thank you." he replied as he went and sat beside Sarah.

A few minutes later Anthony and Addison came in from outside. "Hey man," Anthony said as he walked over to Masen. "Happy Birthday."

"Thanks." Masen replied. Then Anthony and Addison sat on the couch with me, we sat around talking as some of the others came in. Jacob and Renesmee sat in the chair then Sam and Emily came in as well as Billy, Charlie and Phil. Everyone sat around talking, Esme, Rosalie, Alice, Sue and mom all came out of the kitchen and placed food on the table.

Once everything was placed they sat down as well, Emmett and Jasper were outside, and Carlisle and Edward came down from the den, they had been spending alot of time up there lately and edward always seemed to have something on his mind when he would come from talking to Carlisle. I was still sure that if there was something wrong he would tell me so I never said much about it. As we all mingled around the rest of the guests arrived, Rosemary came up to Renesmee and I and introduced her new friend to us.

"Mom, grandma," she said "This is Emily, my friend from school."

"Hello," Renesmee said with a smile. "It is nice to meet you."

"Yes," I replied "Rosemary has told us alot about you."

"Pleasure to meet you." Emily replied with a sweet smile then her and Rosemary went over to where Anthony, Addison and Masen were. There was some other kids about their ages here as well, I assumed they were their other friends and whatnot. The party seemed to be going well.

　

　

　

　

ROSEMARY'S POV

　

　

　

Once Emily got here I introduced her to mom and grandma as well as the rest of the family, then I headed to introduce her to Masen. Masen was standing over near the window talking to Anthony and Addison. We walked over to them.

"Hey," I said "This is Emily."

"Hi," Masen said "Glad you could make it." Emily smiled at him, I could sense the connection between them.

"My mom's name is Emily." Addison said with a smile. "It is such a pretty name I think."

"Thanks." Emily said alittle uneasy at the comment. We talked and then we all went and got some food and punch. Things were going good. Emily and Masen seemed to hit it off well.

Anthony and Addison started dancing and I nudged Emily. She just kind of looked at me. "Why don't you and Emily dance?" I asked Masen with a smile.

He just looked at me then at Emily. "Would you like to dance?" he asked.

"Sure." she replied then they began dancing, I was happy to see them together, I thought they made a great pair.

One of Anthony's froends asked me to dance and I accepted, I can't rememeber which one it was but he was alwasy the one who liked sitting beside me at lunch. As we were dancing I glanced over to see how Masen and Emily was doing. Masen seemed uneasy then he walked off, I wasn't sure what happened so I excused myself from the dance and went to see Emily.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I don't know." she said "Things were fine then all of a sudden he said he had to go." I wasn't sure what was going on so I went to find him.

　

　

　

BELLA'S POV

　

　

　

The party was going great, the kids seemed to be having fun but Edward seemed alittle distracted. I know I said I wouldn't ask him but I was getting concerned, so I leaned towards him as we danced. "Edward?" I said "Are you alright?"

"Of course," he replied with a fake smile. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"Come on," I said "You can't lie to me."

Edwards face got hard as stone. "Come with me." he said as he pulled me towards the stairs.

We went up to the den and Edward shut the door. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"It's Leah," he said "We have been tracking her."

I was in shock, I couldn't believe he was hiding this from us. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.

"We wanted to find her and see what was going on before we told anyone." he replied.

"And?" I asked "Where is she?"

"She is on her way." he said looking in my eyes. I could see the fear and concern in them.

"What is going on?" I asked as I touched his hard jaw.

He leaned into my touch. "She is on a rampage." he replied "She is furious at Charlie for trying to steal her mom."

"But he loves her." I said.

"I know," Edward said "But after her dad was killed Leah has been protective of Sue and now that Charlie wants to be with her forever it has made Leah alittle uncomfortable and crazy."

"What are we going to do?" I asked.

"Emmett and Jasper are outside on the watch for her." he replied "They will let us know when she gets here."

I didn't know what to think, what would she do to Charlie and what would we do to her. I was so confused. Edward ran his hands through my hair. "We won;t let her hurt Charlie." he said as he gave me a kiss. I looked up at him, I could see in his eyes that he was sincere but that he was also worried. Worried that they would have to fight her in front of Sue, worried that Seth would have to fight his own sister. How could things get any worse then this?
