Chapter 10: Finding Out Information

BELLA'S POV

On our way back home from getting the kids Rosemary was talking about the girls she met today that were Emily's friends and about how she sat with them at lunch. As she was talking I noticed in the mirror that Masen was staring out the window and Anthony was looking at him. I wasn't to sure what was up with it and I didn't want to ask, at least not in the car in front of everyone. So when we got hom the kids went to do their homework and what not and I sat on the couch with Edward.

"What's wrong?" he asked as he ran his hands through my hair and kissed my neck.

"It's Masen and Anthony." I replied as I looked over at him.

"What about them?" he asked looking at me strangely.

"Well," I said "They were acting alittle weird on the ride home today."

"Hmm," Edward replied. "Shall I have a talk with them?" then he chuckled "Or rather Hear them."

"Why not try talking first." I replied, I thought it was alittle rude to just read their minds before giving them a chance to tell you themselves.

"Very well." he said "I will talk to them tonight after they have dinner." I smiled then leaned and gave Edward a kiss.

Later on the kids, Renesmee and Jacob all sat down to dinner, Emmett,Rosalie,Jasper and Alice were out hunting, Carlisle was reading in his study and Esme was in the kitchen doing the dishes. After the finished Edward stood up.

"Masen, Anthony?" May I have a word with you?"

"Sure, Grandpa." Anthony said as they walked outside with Edward.

Renesmee and Jacob looked at me strangly. "What was that about?" Jacob asked.

"Well," I replied "Edward was wanting to talk to the boys to see how things were going in school and how they were getting along with the other boys and stuff."

"Oh," Jacob said looking as if he didn't believe me. Renesmee and Jacob then went and sat on the couch and Rosemary went upstairs. I signed in relief that I didn't have to tell them what was really going on, at least not until we knew what it was.

Edward spent along time outside with the boys, I was starting to get worried. I got up and headed to look out the window when I seen them coming back into the house. Anthony and Masen smiled as they walked by then headed upstairs.

"Well?" I said trying not to let Renesmee and Jacob hear me.

"Let's go hunting." Edward said then winked at me. I knew he wanted to go out so we could talk so I agreed then we left.

Once we were out of sight of the house I turned to Edward. "Well?" I said.

"I got nothing." he replied laughing.

"Really?" I asked then laughed.

"Yeah," he replied "I asked them if there was anything they wanted to talk about and when they kept saying no I even tried to hear what they were thinking. Either they don't have anything to hide or they have gotten really good at hiding it from me since they know I can read minds."

"Hmm," I said as I stood there thinking. Maybe they knew not to think about whatever it was so he didn't hear the thoughts. Or maybe it is nothing.

ANTHONY'S POV

Today has been a weird one, Masen has been acting weird and then after dinner grandpa asked to talk to us both alone outside. He kept asking us questions like is there anything you need to talk about? Or are things going alright? I knew that he knew something but I didn't know how much he knew. I also know that he reads minds so the whole time I kept my mind off of the fact that I thought Masen was acting weird. Apparently Masen did the same thing cause grandpa seemed like he was frustrated that he couldn't figure out what was going on. I was frustrated that I couldn't figure it out either. I knew Masen was hiding somehting but I didn't know what.

Over the next few days I watched Masen to see if I could figure it out but still nothing, he seemed to hide whatever it was pretty well. I mean I knew there was something but never could figure out what it was. On the other hand Rosemary seemed really happy with her new friends, they spent alot of time together at lunch and at recess. I have never really seen her so happy before. But I was getting alittle down, it has been awhile since I seen Addison and I was missing her, she always made me smile and laugh. Today after school I was going to ask to go see her since it was friday and we don't have school tomorrow.

When we got home from school I ran up to dad. "Dad, dad?" I said "Can I go see Addison?"

Dad just smiled at me, he knew how I felt so of course he would say yes. "Of course." he said.

"Thanks, dad." I replied then headed out the door. Dad and I got into the car and headed to her house. I was so excited to be going to see her, I didn't get to see her as much as I would like but that is just how it is I guess.

Once we got there I ran up to the porch and knocked on the door, Emily answered and called for Addison. When she came to the door she smiled at me then we both headed to the beach. I loved walking along the beach with her, we would kick rocks and skip them on the water, we chased one another around, and we even just sat there looking out across the water. We spent hours there doing all kinds of stuff, as it got dark we headed back to the house. We held hands the whole way back then said good bye. I kissed Addison on the cheek then got back into the car with dad. We headed home.

ROSEMARY'S POV

I was so happy to have new friends, Emily had introduced me to all her friends and we all sat together at lunch and played together at recess. It was so much fun, I would every now and then look over and see Anthony and Masen with their friends, I would catch Masen looking our way sometimes, It seemed odd to me but I figured maybe he liked Emily or something. That was when I got the great idea of setting Masen and Emily up. She was nice and he was a great boy so why not? It would be great.

So over the next few days I talked to Emily about Masen, she had asked when we first met about him and I kind of got the vibe that she was into him. So today at lunch I started asking her questions.

"So, Emily," I said "Do you like any boys?"

"Um," she replied alittle embarassed "There is one."

"Really?" I asked hoping she would say it was Masen. "Who?"

"That boy you live with." she replied as she looked at the table. This was perfect, she liked Masen and I was sure he liked her. So this was going to be easy.

"That's cool." I said with a smile as I sat there thinking of how to get them together. Masen's birthday was pretty soon, maybe I would invite her to the party and get them talking. I didn't say much more about it, I changed the subject and we talked about clothes and music the rest of lunch, then went back to class.
