Aries P.O.V

The gymnasium had turned into a literal slaughterhouse. Explosions ripped through the air, one after another. Bodies were scattered everywhere, and the once clean, white floor was now covered in a sticky, metallic, and sickening layer of blood.

The hem of my white gown was torn into pieces, the fabric stained with deep red. My face, arms, and legs were messy with dirt and soot, but I barely felt the sting of the scratches.

The sound of gunfire was constant a steady beat of death but I didn't stop.

I couldn't.

My eyes searched every corner, every shadow, and every fallen body.

"Campian!" I whispered, my voice rough from the smoke.

'Caspian. I need to find him. He was the only thing that mattered, the one person I had promised to protect! I need to find the target as soon as possible! Aya!'

Amidst the screams and the stench, I kept moving, my heart thumping in my chest.

I walked through the chaos as if the world around me didn't exist. Gunfire exchanged rapidly between the two sides, bullets flying past me from every direction, but I didn't even flinch. I didn't dodge. I just kept moving with my back straight and my gaze fixed, my face blank, cold and emotionaless.

I ready my gun the moment a student lunged at me. As he tried to punch me, I caught it effortlessly, yanked them toward me, and fired my gun straight into his stomach.

Before the body could even hit the floor, I pulled it in front of me and use it as a human shield, using it to block the hail of bullets from two elite guards.

Eksakto namang naubusan ng bala ang dalawang elite guards nang makalapit ako sa kanila. Basta ko na lang na ibinaba ang hawak kong bangkay at basta-basta ko na lang na itinapon sa kung saan ang baril ko.

Ngumisi ako at pinatunog ang aking leeg at mga daliri sa kamay. Nagkatinginan ang dalawang elite guards bago sila sabay na ngumisi nang nakakaloko sa akin na tila minamaliit ang kakayahan ko dahil isa lamang akong babae at walang sandata.

I tilted my head and smiled sweetly at them.

"You still have few minutes to run..." I said with a grin.

My words clearly insulted them, and they both charged at me aggressively. I couldn't help but let out a soft, mocking laugh.

Nagpakawala sila ng mga sunod-sunod na suntok at sipa na walang kahirap-hirap kong naiilagan habang natatawa, bagay na lalong nagpatindi ng galit nila. Atras lang ako nang atras at ilag nang ilag, tila nakikipaglaro lang sa dalawang asong ulol na gustong kumagat pero hindi makatama.

I yawned, looking bored with the fight, which only made the two of them move faster in their rage. I smirked when they finally managed to hit me twice, once on the face and once on my waist. I touched my side where they struck and wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth, still grinning.
