Calum's POV
"What the hell were you thinking?"
Madison stood in front of me, her mouth still agape from when she walked through the door of her apartment. I had somehow managed to find Andrea's house, her texted directions seeming more confusing than hoped.
I had first met Andrea in 2013 when I went to California for the first time, saving her number along with the rest of the group of youtubers. Finding her number and talking to her was the easy part, trying to get to her and build up the courage to actually confront the girl I loved was the tricky part. She gave me the spare key to Madison's flat, driving me around the corner and leaving me with the apartment and my thoughts.
"How did-" she started, "Did my mom call you or something? Because I am completely fine and-"
She stopped speaking when she saw my features darken, concern dripping from my expression. What happened to her?
"I came here because I saw you in Andrea's YouTube video."
She placed her bag on the floor, hooking her keys on the shelf. Her sunglasses were finally pulled from her eyes, allowing me to see the blue orbs. I missed them. I missed her.
She moved to pass me, my arm blocking her path.
"Cal, you don't understand -"
"I don't understand?" I laughed bitterly, "What don't I understand? The fact that the girl I loved just skipped out on me? Or that she left behind everyone who cared about her? Or maybe that she didn't even call or worry about the people she once called family? Because you're right, Madison, I don't understand."
Tears were streaming down her cheeks, and if I wasn't completely livid, I would probably wipe them. Not now.
"I needed out," she whispered, "I was hurting so many people and I couldn't fix it without hurting someone."
"So you leave and hurt everyone? Me, Luke, Lydia, Ashton, Your mom!"
"Michael?" she asked hopefully, her eyes red and glazed but still shinning.
I scoffed, "You can't even imagine."
She broke down, sobs breaking from her throat. It hurt to watch her like this, so broken. But I am too. I was broken for 6 months and she didn't care, so why should I?
She fell to her knees, "I'm so sorry."
She curled up in a tightly wrapped ball and I couldn't take it anymore, falling at her side and holding her in my lap. Her arms wrapped around my neck, crying into my neck. She repeated her apology like a mantra into my skin as I rocked her.
For the first time in months, I have her in my arms again... but I never thought that she'd be so torn. Her leaving hurt her more than I thought it did.

Luke's POV
"Okay, but I don't think that's how they make them. They definitely use robots."
Lydia laughed, twisting her Oreo and showing it to Ashton and I, "Obviously, look at the perfect ass circle! Humans can't do that."
Ashton had told me that Calum randomly left a few days ago, not returning his calls. I texted him earlier and he responded with a quick and short message saying he was okay, so we choose not to worry.
"When do you think Calum will be back?" I asked, Lydia shoving the cookie in her mouth.
"I think he's roadtripping, he always wanted to do it. I didn't think he'd go alone though." Lydia said, shrugging.
Ashton shook his head, "He seemed kind of determined and angry when he left, maybe something happened at home?"
The front door clicked, opening and shutting. Must be Cal.
I stood from my chair at the table, making sure not to show any of my cards to Ashton as I went to the top of the stairs.
"Hey Cal, we can deal you in next game if you-"
The red and white cards slipped out of my hand, raising questions at the kitchen table. Lydia skipped over, looked down at the front door. Calum was home, and he brought some... luggage.
She gasped, covering her mouth, "Madison?"
My sister scratched her neck nervously, a black duffle bag in her other hand, "Hi."
