Chapter 6 : "Gildartz"

A/N Hey guys! SOrry I haven't been updating! Also, I can't update daily. It's just too much work for me to do, what with balancing everything.

"What if I am?" Tobi challenged.

"Psshh. Kill him." all of the soldiers fired their guns at Tobi and Lucy.

Lucy cowered behind Tobi, closing her eyes so that she couldn't see it. She didn't want to see her death. She could hear the bullets firing, the swishing of air as the bullets traveled.

Was it just Lucy or was it getting warm near Tobi?

The first bullet made found it's mark. Tobi.

The bullet, ripping air at fast speeds, found Tobi. Although that bullet landed, it didn't land on Tobi. I didn't get past him either.

There was no blood. There was no death. There was no impact. Lucy looked up from her cowering position to see something she was grateful yet fearful of: Tobi knew magic.

Magic was illegal in R.A.C.

And yet Tobi knew magic. How did he know Magic!? The answer to that didn't matter as long as they made it out alive.

Tobi was surrounded by a flame-like auora, protecting and shielding him from the bullet.

"Woah, he's a magic user! Just like our boss!" shouted a female soldier. "What type of magic is that!?"

"It's fire-dragon slayer magic." said the commander of the group. "Extremely dangerous and explosive. Hades won't want another Fire-Dragon slayer alive."

"It's not Dragon Slaying Magic." Tobi announced. His voice level was far above that of anyone else.

"It's Phoenix Slaying Magic."

-10 minutes Later-

The squadron was defeated, all of them either dead or close to being dead.

Tobi deactivated his magic and walked back towards Lucy and her guards. The guards had awoken during the fight and were astonished to see a man enveloped in flames fighting an enemy squadron.

"How's the wound?" Tobi asked the female guard, Eli.

"Um I-It's fine. Just inserted with knock-out poison." Eli responded. Carlos agreed, saying that he'd need a few minutes.

"Tobi, how do you know magic!?" Lucy blurted out.

Tobi waited several seconds before responding.

"My father, Gildartz Clive taught me about Magic. I learned my own type of magic after his death." Lucy gawked.

Gildartz. Freaking. Clive. That was his father!? THE Gildartz!? The last mage that was working as a mercenary!?

"Wait...... Gildartz is dead?" Lucy asked. She was confused. She had seen him just yesterday, asking him about how his day was.

"My father, Gildartz Clive, perished while on a job 7 years ago." Tobi said sadly.

"Tobi..... Gildartz is alive."
