Chapter 25 : "Enraged Death"

Three days passed by in a breeze. Tobi's mother was recuperating in the hospital but she had undergone immense surgery.

Tobi on the other hand did special training with Gray and his father Silver.

In doing som he ignored Kagura, Erza, and even Sparan. Kagura would randomly pop in and out of heir training sessions, but she never knew what they were training to achieve.

On the last day before Tobi was supposed to leave with Sparan, Kagura found herself with her older brother overlooking a cliff.

"Ya know, Kagura? I wish Erza had loved me instead." Simon said as his sad gaze watched the sun slowly float downwards.

"I don't want to talk about love right now, Simon." Kagura grunted. Although she couldn't quite understand it, the word love brought bad memories and feelings. And, despite how much she denied it to herself, she would always picture a male with raven hair and dark eyes.

"When are you going to tell him?" Simon asked, the brotherly gaze replacing his saddened one. Kagura blushed.

"Wh-what do you mean!?" Kagura responded. Simon laughed.

"You said 'what', now 'I don't love anyone'. That definitely means this your in love. I'm guessing..... Tobi." The minute Simon said his name, Kagura jumped up and raced towards Tobi.

Kagura arrived in the canyon they were training in. Supposedly, they chose this spot because it was peaceful. Kagura stood motionless as what she had just witnessed hit her in the face.

The entire canyon was frozen. The walls that stretched for miles were completely covered in ice, the floors slippery and dangerous.

"Di..... Did they do this!?" Kagura said her thoughts aloud. Suddenly, she was worried that Tobi wouldn't have been able to stand the cold.

The Next Day

Tobi was now on Sparan's back as the two flew towards the Russian camp that held both Glidarts and Igneel.

As the two landed, they took cover behind a large hill. Sparan would only be able to use his wings to break the front door and assist him on the first floor. Everyone other floor was underground.

As Tobi eyed the entrance, his phone started vibrating. He hastily picked up the phone, whispering quickly.

"Hello?"

"Tobi, it's nurse Cheria. I have bad news." Spoke a female's voice through the phone.

"What is it? I'm kind of busy right now." Tobi was annoyed. Why were they contacting him now!? He was about to storm into a heavily defended Russian base by himself. What was so important?

"Your mother died."

Nothing could describe what Tobi felt at the moment. He dropped his phone in the dirt, his eyes widened in pure surprise.

Sparan noticed, and as he was about to ask Tobi walked towards the base. His eyes were still wide, his pupils now
non-existent.

He was angry. Sparan, the great and powerful Phoenix, did his best to stay out of the way of Tobi. The guard standing outside the doorway noticed Tobi. As he was raising his gun to fire, Tobi killed him with a simple blast of magic.

Sparan was afraid. Sparan, who's power was on par with Achnologia himself, was terrified of Tobi's current power.

At this rate, Tobi would either killed everything or kill himself due to the immense amount of power flowing through his body.

Sparan really hoped that Tobi's cancer didn't strike at this very moment.
