Chapter 33 : "The End"

2ND TO LAST CHAPTER. Anyone want an epilogue?

Tobi suddenly fell forward, his vision fading as fast as his strength.

"Good bye, Asher." Zeref said as he swung his blade from left to right once, firing a wave of black flames at Tobi.

Tobi closed his eyes, awaiting the deathly impact. His eyes were hidden from view by his hair, but his smile was wide and free.

"You choose to smile at your death?" Zeref asked before the wave consumed Tobi's vision.

The last thought that registered in Tobi's mind was that the sun looked beautiful today.

Someone fired a blast that counteracted Zeref's.

Tobi felt someone's arm reach around and catch him. The person moved his arm over her shoulder and gently brought him to the ground.

"Tobi?" Asked a female voice. Tobi lazily opened his eyes to reveal Kagura, in all of her beauty. The beauty let out a breath of relief once she spotted his eyes.

"Wendy! Come heal him!" Kagura shouted as she laid Tobi on the ground and turned to face Zeref. Wendy popped from a nearby building and begun her healing.

"I'll handle Zeref." Kagura spoke as she glared.

Lucy felt herself be picked up in warm arms, the heat radiating from the mysterious person. Lucy opened her eyes, ever so slightly, to see that she had indeed been saved. The ruins of the hospital behind him, Natsu walked with Lucy in his arms.

For once in her life, she felt safe. She felt comfortable..... She felt like she would finally be relieved of her pain.

She snuggled even more against his chest as Natsu jogged to the infirmary.

Tobi could feel a slight soothing feeling as Wendy's magic coursed through his veins. The magic healed his wounds and restored his power. Once it was done, Tobi sat up and thanked Wendy. He then turned his head towards the fight with Zeref.

Kagura was winning. Tobi had weakened Zeref greatly, to the point of where she was doing absolutely nothing in order to defeat her foe.

Suddenly, Tobi heard a roar. He turned his head again, this time to Igneel fighting against Achnologia.

Achnologia had just touched the tower.

Kagura was just about to deal the final blow when Zeref suddenly blew her away.

"What was that!? He shouldn't have enough power left to do that..." Kagura breathed to herself. She contemplating what had just happened, and why Zeref still had enough power to fly.

Suddenly, she knew. Achnologia had touched the tower that would fully revive Zeref's sealed powers.

On cue, a black wave of energy burst through the sky as Zeref felt this powers reawaken.

'Oh shit.' Kagura thought before the pitch-black blade entered her body.

Tobi saw Kagura's injured body fall to the ground, unable to move due to the element of surprise. Tobi quickly turned to Wendy, then whispered his plan. Her eyes widened as Tobi unveiled his plan. She nodded once he had finished and ran off to begin his plan.

Tobi turned around and began to fly into the air. His eyes staring at Zeref, unwilling to move themselves from his target. As he arrived at the same height that Zeref was at, he crossed his arms in front of him. Immediately, a magic circle appeared beneath him.

Zeref knew that spell. It was a spell that would finally kill him.

'But Natsu....' Zeref thought as he watched the Mage before him increase his power with the spell.

"Iced Shell." Tobi proclaimed as he charged the powerful life-ending spell.

Wendy found Kagura in the middle of the deserted street. She was in a pool of blood, unmoving. Her violet hair was now stained red as the pool of blood increased in size. The petite bluenette rushed to the wounded sword Mage and immediately begun to heal her. Soon though, she found the effort to be draining. She still wasn't used to using her powers yet, so the effect was very draining on her.

Kagura soon awoke. She jumped up, ready to fight but realized that she was being healed. She calmed down, seeing that her own jumpiness was causing the poor girl to use more effort. Suddenly, a bright blue light illuminated the entirety of the city.

Kagura found the source instantly.

Tobi was channeling Iced Shell.
