Third person POV

"Let's get you to the hospital. Your aunt said she'll be there right away" Emi clapped

The boy had been feeling light headed for a while now. It wasn't safe to stay here longer, he could die from blood loss.

Suzuya got up and offered Evan a hand which he took. Evan had a bit of trouble standing up but he managed to do it using the wall behind him.

"How exactly are you planning on getting to the hospital Emi-san?" Suzuya asked with a raised eyebrow

After getting no response from Emi he spoke again. "You know he's about to die... We better get there soon" he said

"Don't worry. I already called an ambulance. Although it might be hard for them to find us... We are in an alley" she said

"Alright then. Let's carry him outside" Suzuya shrugged and Emi nodded.

Emi pushed the half-awake boy up Suzuya's back and steadied both of them. Once in a while Emi would bring her bloody fingers to her mouth, tasting the boy from time to time. Besides, it's not like his blood was going to be used anytime soon.

Suzuya noticed her actions and smirked.

Oh Emi-san. You just couldn't control yourself

He thought while they emerged from the dark alleyway. It was incredible to be in a place so dark when the sun was still out. It was about two in the afternoon.

Almost immediately they heard sirens and noticed an ambulance parking in front of them. Evan was quickly pulled off of Suzuya's back and strapped to a stretcher where he was taken inside.

Emi waved goodbye at the closing doors and watched as the ambulance disappeared from her sight.

"Man. This is not how I expected to pass my day" Emi chuckled slightly and looked at Suzuya who was staring blankly at her.

Suddenly his face lit up. "Hey
Emi-san! You got the chance to eat something. Its my turn" he said grabbing her arm and pulling her across the streets of town.

"Suzuya! Have you noticed we're covered in blood?" Emi yelled at the boy who looked confused

"I don't see the problem"he shrugged and continued pulling her until they reached a candy store.

"I treated you. Now you've gotta treat me" Suzuya sang in Emi's ear and rushed inside the store. Once inside he grabbed a plastic bag and started filling it with different kinds of sweets. His eyes were wide as they skimmed through all the isles, picking from each one and throwing them carelessly inside the bag. He did that until his bag was full and threatening to spill on the ground.

Suzuya walked happily towards Emi who stood at the doorway. She rolled her eyes and took out her wallet, heading towards the cash register.

"Are you sure you are going to eat all of this?" Emi asked

"Excuse me miss. We've known Suzuya for quite a long time. I can assure you he will finish that bag in less than an hour" the store clerk smiled at both of them and Suzuya grinned back.

"See Emi-san. Now pay" he said and Emi glared at him. She handed the money to the clerk who took it and gave her the change.

"Have a nice day!" the clerk said and Suzuya walked out.

"Miss? Watch out. Suzuya tends to get a little carried away when he's on sweets"

Stalker much?

"How do you know that?" Emi asked

"I told you, we've known him for a very long time. He's a regular here. Have a nice day!" the clerk waved and I walked out of the store

"Well that was weird..." Emi scratched the back of her head and looked at Suzuya who was stuffing his face in candy.

"That isn't real food, you know" Emi said to Suzuya and he glared

"What would you know about real food? You've never tried any" he said with his mouth full and Emi ignored the knives piercing her heart

"...You're right"

"So what do you want to do now?" Suzya asked Emi

"How about we take a shower. We need to get rid of all this blood" Emi said

"Fine. You scrub my back first, though" he said and she looked strangely at him

"Wha- We're not showering together idiot!" Emi blushed, attempting to smack Suzuya in the head but he dodged it quickly.

Curse his fast reflexes

Emi grumbled and Suzuya laughed.

"Hey Suzuya, you might want to take it easy with that candy. You've only had it for like fifteen minutes and you've already emptied half the bag"

"Did I judge you when you we're eating?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Hm. You've got a point"

"Of course I do"

They walked silently towards the apartment. The only thing that was heard was Suzuya's chewing. More than once people gave them horrified looks. They just ignored it and kept walking.

A small girl approached them making Suzuya and Emi stop.

"Can I have some of that?" she pointed towards Suzuya's almost empty candy bag.

"Didn't anybody tell you not to take candy from strangers. Get lost" Suzuya grumbled in a cold tone, shoving a handful of sweets in his mouth

Emi was taken aback by his actions. She had never heard Suzuya talk so harsh before. Not even when he found out she was a ghoul.

"Suzuya. I'm sure you can give her at least one.." Emi reasoned staring at the pouting girl in front of them.

"No way. Get your own" Suzuya said and side-stepped around the little girl. Emi quickly apologized to her and catched up to the boy.

"What was all that about?" Emi asked

"What?"

"You could've spared at least one lollipop" Emi said

"Sure. And you could've eaten the boy from earlier. But you didn't, did you? Its all about decisions" he grumbled

"What's your problem?" Emi glared at him

"I don't have any" he said and popped the last piece of candy into his mouth, stuffing the empty bag inside his pocket.

"Oh please. I can name at least ten" Emi rolled her eyes

"Really? I'd like to hear them" the boy said turning his gaze to the sky.

"You don't have any manners. You're always changing moods. You enjoy killing people. You don't have any sense of morals-"

Emi was cut off by Suzuya

"I have morals. It's just that your definition of morals is not the same as mine" he pointed out.

"Besides, you go around eating humans. What kind of moral is that?" he asked

"That's different! I need to eat if I want to live. You humans kill animals and eat them too!" Emi responded

"I suppose you're right" he said and then continued

"That's the relationship between humans and ghouls. You kill in order to survive.

Either way, Mankind serves only one purpose. We die to feed others"
