That One Cask

Rainbow Blitz smirked as he flew through the clear blue skies of Ponyville. His feathers felt free as the air fanned through each one. Life was great for the cyan stallion. He had great friends, he lived in a great place, and he loved his job. Well, not really. His job didn't pay well. But, other than that, life was great. As he soared along, he looked down to see Dusk Shine's library. He always had something going on that wasn't boring. (Mostly, it was for the Daring Doo books...) As he landed, dusk Shine seemed to notice him and he put down a cask that he was levitating with his purple aura. Blitz just pushed the door open with his hoof, walking in like he owned the place. "Suuup Dusk?" Blitz swaggered around the room filled with books. Dusk Shine levitated a book into the colt's hooves abruptly. "Take the new Daring Doo and leave, Rainbow." He walked back over to his desk, littered with casks and beakers filled with different colored liquids. Blitz looked over these and stared closely. "So, your being an egghead. That's why you have no time for me, huh?" Shine rolled his eyes and levitated the Pegasus out of his line of sight upside down. Rainbow fell, hitting his head on the ground. He rubbed his temples with his forelegs. "Hey-!" Dusk shushed him. "Be. Quiet." He stared intently at one cask as he carefully poured it into the other. Blitz couldn't help but get off his flank and look at what his unicorn friend was doing exactly. As the other liquid touched the liquid in the beaker, it made an explosion. The room was filled with a big poof of blue smoke. The two stallions coughed as they regained sight to the desk. Dusk clapped his hooves together giddily. "YES!! I FINALLY MADE IT!!" Rainbow made a confused face while staring at the product, a light green substance. It had volume and was jello like. Bubble Berry would have eaten it if Dusk wasn't there. "You made lime jello, so what Shine?" Dusk glared at the other stallion. "Just JELLY? No. But, a radioactive JELLY? Yes." Rainbow smirked at this. He snatched it up, taking it firmly in the crevasse of his hoof. "So, what would happen if I maybe ate it? Or poured it out?" Dusk looked up at him. "Don't eat it!! It can cause harm to your insides!!" Rainbow rolled his eyes and dumped the light green jelly stuff all over himself. Shine gasped and tried to reach his jello covered friend. "BLITZ!! WHAT DID YOU DO!!" Blitz shrugged. "I don't know there, Dusky. But, I feel a bit weird." He flew up, breaking a hole in the roof of the tree house library. He could see his unicorn friend looking up at him through the hole. His dark purple orbs burnt a hole in his chest. "Sorry Dusk!!" He kept rising, another explosion ringing out across Ponyville. Dusk still stared, soon seeing that his spectrum colored friend was gone. Completely and 120% gone. "BLITZ!!??"

So, this one is because I wanted to do a crossover and alternate thingy. I think it turned out alright for the first chapter. I think I'm gonna like this series. :P
