Aj's POV
--------------------
I grew up in Santos, São Paulo, Brazil. You could say I wasn't the wealthiest person in brazil. Growing up my dad worked you could say normal hours and my mom stayed home. My dad lost his job for a few years which really effected our money problem, but he gained a new job after. Around the age 10 Neymar came into my life, he was my neighbour. We went to the same school so we grew to become friends, great friends. He was really busy a lot of the times because he already had a contract with a football club in Santos. He was really good, I would join him on the streets with his other friends to play football, I wasn't that great but it was still fun. Personally I was better at Softball. We would watch each other play their sports, he was a bit of a show off, but if your that good who wouldn't be right? He was very humble for what he had, for his talent, for the little he had, and his family and friends. I admired him as a person, but also as a friend. Around the age 16, Neymar was a year older than me so he was 17, Neymar was signed a full professional contract making him on Santos' first team. I would watch a few of his games and watched him grow to become compared to legends like Pelé. He would help me out with money which I didn't really like because I could never pay him back, I was raised to give what was given and respect what we had so I was left feeling guilty even when he said it was no trouble. He would come see a few of my softball games, nothing professional just a local house league, but he wouldn't be able to stay long because someone would notice him and start being mobbed. As his fame grew it was harder to go to public places with him, but was fine because we would just hang out at his house or mine.
But life wasn't always that simple.
A few months before my 17th birthday my parents died in a robbery, the robbers kept them as hostages while I was out at school. I had asked them to get some money from the bank so I could go shopping later on to get Neymar something to repay him as a start. I should've gone to the bank myself, I was selfish and lazy to go after school so I asked them. One of the robbers shot my dad first because he tried to call the police. My mother was later shot for yelling at the robbers for doing so. I was never really the same after that. My mentality did get better after a few years though. Neymar being the good friend offered for me to stay at his house, I was an only child and was still in high school so I wasn't really at a state to deny the offer. Neymar wasn't able to be home often because he was either training or at a game, but he had a sister that was there often, Rafaella. She was also in high school, It was her freshman year at the time, I became close to her as well, we would help each other out with homework, more me helping her since I was older. I loved it there, I was always treated like family.

Some nights after Neymar's games he wouldn't come home, but he would in the morning. No one spoke of what they thought he was doing, but we all knew. He was getting lucky pretty often and you could tell when he did because he would seem pretty tired and proud of himself the next day. Before when this started to become a habit he would still be energetic after a game, if he won he would be jumping around the room complementing the team, even though they weren't there. And if they lost he would be pacing back and forth thinking to himself probably what they did wrong or what he should work on. Another sign to tell if he got lucky was if one of his friends (that was a girl) started to become distant. But one night Neymar wasn't too smart. He knocked up one of our friends Carol, she was nice, pretty and wasn't friends with Neymar for the fame, but one night it got out of hand and got her pregnant. At first Neymar was a bit rattled but he became mature about it.
When the new family member arrived (Davi) he really opened up the good side to life again. When it would be Neymar's turn with Davi I would help out quite a bit, he was so precious and innocent, you couldn't help but love him.
After high school I didn't go to a Uni or college right away because I wasn't sure what to do with my life at the moment. Neymar got a contract with Barcelona, I was so proud of him. When we were younger he would always say he wanted to play with the best in barça, so now that he is, it was amazing. He moved to Barcelona while I stayed for one more year to help out his mum in the house and help Rafa with the end of high school. I joined Neymar in Barcelona to support him and give him company, I started to become lonely as well because Rafa went to England for university. Neymar is doing so well and  fans love him here and I'm proud to be one of his best friends.
And that brings us to current time! Neymar is currently 23 and I'm 22.
