Thranduil walked towards his father's throne. "You wanted to see me?", he asked. "Yes, I have to talk to you. About your future", Oropher said and walked down the stairs. "My future?", Thranduil frowned. "Yes, you are old enough now to take part of ruling Greenwood, to do your part of the job", Oropher said. Thranduil did not follow his father at all. "What do you mean?", he asked. "I'm mean that you got to stop running around acting childish with your friends. You are a prince, you have duties, responsibilities to me and to this woodland. You have to be prepared", Oropher explained to his son. "I am prepared", Thranduil said. "I know how to defend myself and this kingdom. I'm working on my skills everyday". "To manage a sword is not all there is to it. You have to know your friends and your enemies, whom to form an alliance with and who to stand against", Oropher looked at his son. "You speak like you're not going to rule Greenwood for all time", Thranduil crossed his arms. "Nothing is certain", Oropher said and gazed into the air.
