Chapter 14

Darren

It is so nice to step out of the truck and smell the Michigan air. We made it back to mine and Joeys apartment around noon on Saturday.

"Darren, I hate to say this, but I want to go home, like take my dog and just run, I want to sleep in my bed." Madison said when we got to my door, I laughed at her.

"Madison I understand, come on and get Elly." I opened the door and Joey came running up.

"Ever since I got that call saying you have been stabbed well I've been worried about you man." Joey said then hugged me. "That was such an un manly thing I just did." I laughed at him.

"It's okay man." I told him. Madison came running out with Elly in her arms. Elly was overjoyed at the sight of Madisons.

Madison gave me a quick kiss. "Please get some rest, Joey, watch him, I love you I'll see you later." And then she left.

"So tell me everything." Joey said in a girly tone. I laughed at him but shook my head.

"Can I get some rest first?" I asked.

"Yea, rest, I'll call the gang over and maybe have a movie night."

"Sounds great." I told him then slowly walked to my room. It hurt to move but I made it okay.

I opened my door and walked in. It was nice to see this familiar place. I layed down on my bed and shut my eyes and quickly fell asleep.

I woke up to the sounds of people talking.

"Shhh!" I could tell it was Joey. "We are going to wake Darren up."

It was to late I was already up. I got up and slowly walked out. I walked into the living room and everyone got silent and stared at me. Jamie and Lauren both threw there hands over there mouth, while the other stared in awe not believing what they are seeing.

"It just dosent seem real." Joe said. They all quickly moved away from the couch. Joey came up and helped me to the couch.

"I feel like I'm eighty." I said then laughed at my self. "Fine, I'll tell you all what happened. Get your selves comfy, because it's long and I'm only telling it once. Jamie and Lauren emidantly sat down beside me. Joey sat in the recliner and Joe and Holden sat in the floor.

I told them everything. And they couldn't believe it.

"Dude you just lived a real life action movie." Holden said

"Your like a super hero Darren." Lauren said rubbing my shoulder. Jamie gave me a soft hug.

"Well I'm just glad your still alive, you don't know how scared I was when Joey called me saying that you were stabbed." Jamie said.

"Jamie we were all scared." Lauren said hugging me as well.

"Well I'm okay, I promise." I said reassuring them both.

"Okay? Darren, you have a stab wound, YOU WERE STABBED!" Joe yelled, but not in an angry way. We all laughed at him.

"Well I will have a wicked scar." I said and everyone laughed again.

"Why don't we start the movie, Darren you pick." Joey said walking over to our movie rack.

"Um, Peter Pan, a classic." Joey put the movie in, tonight was nice, just me and my friends, who were basically my family.

After we finished Peter Pan we put in movie after movie until we all passed out.
