Love Him...Not

Allen

"Let's have our lunch together. But first, I am going to have a talk with coach Brian about my training" Yuzuru said in the opposite side of the desk.

"Okay" Shine short agreement.

Yuzuru then leaves and enter the ice rink when Shine's phone rings —Allen is calling.

Ring...ring

"Hello! Allen?"Shine confusedly said.

"Yeah" Allen confirmed.

"Why did you call?"Shine asked.

But Allen ignore Shine's inquiry, "What are you doing after your work?" Allen asked instead.

"Nothing. why?" Shine answer and become more curious.

"Good! I'll pick you up then" Allen said not answering Shine again.

"O..kay...you always picked me up but why are you asking me now?"Shine confusedly asked again.

"I know! but today I thought I'll asked you first, since Yuzuru is back already" Allen answer.

"How did you know that he's back?" Shine asked, surprise that Allen knew Yuzuru is back.

"I said it before that I have an ESP when it comes to you" Allen answer and he is somehow enjoying the reaction of Shine.

Shine blushed as she smile from Allen's last words.

"O..kay...you'll tell me about that anyway...seeyah later bye"Shine said and hang up.

It's lunch time already, Shine and Yuzuru head to the Club cafeteria. They sit near the window while the waiter is serving them their orders.

"So what happened to Min?" Yuzuru asked while their food is being serve.

"Thank you"Yuzuru said to the waiter.

"Min is sick, maybe he is too exhausted like I said earlier but don't worry,  Mom is with him so I think he will get better soon" Shine answer. She also said thank you to the waiter then continue to talk to Yuzuru.

"I thought, you are not going to come back yet, what happened?"Shine then asked.

"Well, it just happen!" Yuzuru said and he's obviously do not want to answer her just yet.

"Don't get me wrong but I promise to tell you everything just not now" Yuzuru added.

Shine then look at his eyes and she immediately understand his look that says let's talk something else.

"OK I wont asked anymore" Shine said. She smiles at him and eat her salad.

"So...Allen?...I mean, how are you and him? why you never mention him to me before?"Yuzuru hesitated but he asked anyway.

"Well, Sorry about that, it just that it never occur to me to mention him to you. Besides I don't think you'll be interested in him" Shine explained.

"I see" Yuzuru said.

"And like I said thru the phone he is always in our house again now. Our family is close with them, since his dad and my dad were college classmates before. And his mother and my mother were acquaintances; they went in the same high school together, I think. Though, his mother is in older batch than my mom" Shine innocently said and she eats more. 

"Allen and you... are close?" Yuzuru hesitantly asked.

"Yup! Since, Allen and me grow up together. He is like my brother before Min was born, big brother actually. When we were kids he always take care of the bullies in our school, he was my hero back then" Shine answer Yuzuru— more than what he wanted to hear. "I think, he is actually my first crush. I actually remember me saying that I am going to marry him when I am about five years old" Shine relayed in low voice in Yuzuru and laugh a little.

"But it's not the case now!" Shine's inner self intervene but Shine is so into telling Yuzuru about Allen, that she didn't notice the change in Yuzuru's expression. 

"So, when he went to the Philippines to study, I remember crying a river; I feel like I lost my brother that day. But now that he is back after several years, I am really happy to see him again" Shine innocently said and smile.

"I see...He is my replacement then"Yuzuru said in a low voice. Only then Shine see that Yuzuru's jolliness is gone.

"He's not replacing you. No one is being replaced here, Yuzu. He is more like of an additional company" Shine assured Yuzuru. But Yuzuru is still not back to his jolly self.

"Actually, I think it's a good thing that he's back. Because when you are not here, I still have someone to hang out with" Shine told Yuzuru.

Yuzuru look at her and he smile the i'm-still-upset smile.

"Are you jealous of him?" Shine suddenly asked.

Yuzuru choked from her question.

"Why did I asked him that?! No..I can't hear his answer" Shine panicky said in her mind.

Yuzuru drink his juice while he put his fist into his chest.

"See! You are not" Shine immediately answer her question before Yuzuru can speak.

"Allen is my friend and he can be yours too. He is a people's man; kind and friendly, that's the kind of person he is" Shine added and smile.

"Good job! Shine, I think that will satisfy him" Shine said in her mind while looking at Yuzuru.
