“Sir Elmo… Sir… ELMO!!!!” what the.. I face who the hell it is. It’s Alice my secretary. Well not only a secretary but a friend of mine to. I and Lo are friends with her since college.
“What the hell Alice.. Kung makasigaw ka..” I hissed.
“SIR….. ELMO kanina pa po ako andito… kanina ko pa kayo tinatawag pero nakatingin lang kayo sa cell phone nyo…” oh.. yeah.. haha well katxt ko kasi si Julie so I don’t want interruptions. I faced my annoying secretary and she’s staring at me like an idiot. What’s wrong with her? I raised my one brow at her.
“Is there something wrong Sir?” What problema? Hell no.. I’m in a good mood.
“Pshh.. Nothing? Bakit mo natanong?” I asked her.
“Kasi kanina ka pa nakatingin sa phone nyo.. With matching smile.. Should I call a psychiatrist now? ” hahaha.. holy cow.. I laugh at her so hard. This girl is so unbelievable. I saw the innocence in her eyes. Hahaha She’s weird at times. Very weird.. But I love this girl. She works professionally and she’s very competent. Point for her.
“Hahahaha.. Shit Alice what are you talking about? Good mood lang ako..”
“Good mood? Weh?.. You greeted every single species in this building this morning sir…” she stated.
“And so?” I give her a quizzical look.
“Well Sir Elmo Moses Arroyo Magalona..To tell you frankly, you’re not usually doing….that greeting thing sir.” What? I raised my brow at her.
“Really??” she just nodded.
“You just walk around not even smiling at them… Kaya this day is a record sir.” Woah.. I can’t believe this. Ganun ba ako ka snobbish?
“Anyway sir here is the papers that you needed….” She gave me the folder and I scan the content.
“Ok.. You can go now.” She silently left the room. After her leave I got my phone at the desk. I smile again cos another text from Julie came.
‘Naglunch kana?’ –Julie
‘Not yet. Kaw naglunch kana?’ I replied
‘Moe.. 2pm na.. baka magkaulcer ka nyan.. Yeah I ate already. Kumain ka na!!!!!.’ My smile grows wider as I saw her text. She’s really sweet at times. I love how she cares and show her concern to me. I chuckle.
‘Yes baby I will.. ;) I love you baby’ I hit send. Shit I’m smiling like an idiot right now. I’m eager to wait for her reply. A minute passed.. Still…no reply? Tsk tsk.. I keep glancing at my phone. Then my phone rings. Finally.
‘Okay.. see you around.. I love you too.’
“Yes…” I shouted it. I can’t help myself. Then Alice came inside.
“You need something sir?” she asked. Pshh..
“Wala..I’ll just call you if I need something…. GO.” I signal her to live.
I read the message so many times. That simple message lightened my world today. Jeez.. I’m so gay.
FLASH BACK
We just had dinner at the private restaurant in Tagaytay. She’s been silent all the time. The atmosphere at our drive home is really different. Her eyes bored at the window. Her thought is deeply occupied. There’s something wrong with her I thought. I tried to reminisce… Did I do or said something wrong at her? Damn it.. My hesitation got me first. I don’t have the courage to ask. I’m not used to see her like this. These 3 weeks after she came to my pad.. we really had a good time. We see each other more often. I climbed out of the car first cos I want to open the door for her but too late. She smiles at me but the smiles never reach her eyes.
