The Shadows of Royalty

Walking in

I woke up with a start. The silky sheets tangled in between my legs as sweat trickled at the side of my face.

I glance at the alarm clock 12:00. Great I just slept for 3 hours. I quietly dress into a dark midnight dress and slip my feet unto some ballet flats. Suddenly I heard some voices. Or a voice that seemed to sound like a blood curdling cry. I stiffened as I carefully opened the doors of my chamber. Don't be stupid, get back to bed. The voice in my head warned, wanting me to retreat. But what if someone is hurt or curiosity killing me right now.....

I slip into the hallway as I crept over to the glass window that gave me a perfect view of the outside of the palace. I scanned the dark ominous forest. Everything was perfectly fine until I saw a figure get attacked. This wild animal had hurled itself onto this man and ripped his flesh as it was meat. It was meat..... Suddenly the animal's eyes glance up turning into the bright gold color. Its eyes net mine for a brief second. My heart felt like it was jammed as I turned and placed my back against the wall. Breath ...I slowly gasped for air as my heart beat steadied...

I glanced back at the window finding the animal or wolf nowhere. I had to help the man but before I can I needed to tell the Prince. I quickly run through the hallway glancing one last time at the man on the ground. But this time guards were surrounding him.

I climbed through some stairs and found his room. I didn't even knock as I busted into the room. The room was dim but lit with some candle lights. I stopped in my tracks ...I saw him and one of the girls grinding into each other but most disturbing was that his bare back was toward me.

I was going to shut the door and leave when his head snapped up and shit ... He saw me. I almost melted into the ground as the girl screeched and pulled the covers over her.

"Ummm...." Shit was I going to say!?

His body got up as his pants hung low from his hips. I wanted to turn around and scream. I walked in on them as they were in pleasure.

"Rachel..." He began.

"I'm sorry for not knocking but there's an emergency!" I interrupt him, speaking so fast. I tried hard not to stare at his perfect sculpted body and this abs though... But I knew that I had a duty to save the man's life.

"What does she want?" Hissed the girl in bed. He raised his hand to silence her.

I continued. "There's a man outside who just got attacked and I'm going to go save him. I wouldn't have gone to get your permission if I knew you were busy... But you know, your highness has made it clear that if I ..." I was now rambling. His eyes narrowed.

"Just this time." He nodded as I almost ran out but he griped my wrist. "I'm going with you."

I eyed him ... "then put a shirt on and come on." I gestures to him. He grinned and I swear this smirk meant you like what you see?

I blushed as I hurried out his bedroom and gathered my supplies as I found him running beside me.

I hope this was worth it... The voice inside my head remarked. I knew that he wasn't happy that I had bustled in to his affair but I was going to save some one life. A smile played onto my lips as he opened the doors and were welcomed with the night's chilly air.

I'm updating at 11 pm and I look at the chapter I just had written and WTF its like I need to write more but anyways why do u think that man was attacked and do u think that Rachel will be able to heal him just in time?
