"Please move out my way!" I pleaded the guard who stood there groaning.
"Ma'am I told you that I cannot do that...The Prince's orders."
The thought of punching the guard and knocking him out appealed to me, but I dismissed it knowing it would be highly inappropriate.
"Please?"
"Ma'am if you do not leave, I will have to restrain you." The guard warned, his voice echoing in a monotone. Gosh, everything these days was scripted.
In the past hour, I was literally begging the guard to go inside the infirmary. I glanced at the clock above him.
Why don't you throw a rock at the clock and let it miserably fall onto the guard's head?
I inwardly groaned. I was not going to that, even though I was that desperate. Besides the guard would rotate and shift with his partner that was yet to come.
"Alright," I sniffle a fake cry, clutching my heart like a damsel in distress.
The guard's eyes glinted in sympathy. "I'm sorry I hope whoever is in there is well."
I nodded. "My father."
No, actually I was here to check if Liam was in there... If he was alive.
I turned around and swiftly turned a corner watching the clock. The guard's shift finally ends and another guard replaces him.
Great, now it was time for another set of acting and a new sympathetic story.
You should throw your self at the guard and faint then he'll take you in the infirmary and then you will knock him out and find Liam! Aurora chimed getting enthusiastic.
A smirk formed onto my lips as I squeezed some lubricant eye drops in my eyes to appear as if I was crying and sobbing my heart out.
Cry me a river, and I'll still shove that stick down your throat no matter what... Recited Aurora, in her horrid screeching voice. Here she thought that she could sing better than Beyonce.
Why do you always want to be so violent, Aurora? I inwardly ask, finding this whole matter to my amusement.
She shrugged as she urged me to do it. This girl or tumor was relentless.
But seriously that was a great idea. I went up to the second guard clutching my heart. The moment his eyes met mine I jerked back and hid behind the wall.
Oh my fudge crackers, the guard was Sir Washington! The one that Jamie had a fight with and the one that was fond of me.
My false facade will probably not work on him. For all the other guards, I made up different stories. One was hat I was the daughter of a knight, or Commander Gabriel Anderson's girlfriend (I know that is gross, since he was my cousin), or that my poor mother was dying of hypothermia and I needed to see her, or that I was a attorney trying to come see my client in order for him to write his last will to his daughter, or that I was a highly trained doctor needing to perform an appendectomy.
When I said that my patient was dying and I needed to preform that appendectomy, the guard called for the Prince to grant me permission. I quickly disappeared and dispensed into thin air and waited for the guard's shift to end. I didn't think he seriously believed me. The Prince followed the guard, and you should have seen the guard's face as he was tackled into horror. The Prince's jaw clenched and I was debating if the Prince would kill the guard for this minor mistake, or rather my mistake.
