Drip.

Drop.

Drip.

Drop.

Rachel's heart sounded within her ears, anxiousness drowning her blood. She welcomed the small piercings of rain, which reminded her of what she and Xander shared hours ago.

Her eyes widened at the memory as she bid herself to keep walking through the woods.

This was probably a trap... She thought for a second but then feeling the demonic whispers clouding her mind, she blocked them, doing the opposite of what they commanded her. They wanted her to go back to Xander. For the whole day she had been listening to them as if she was a puppet, unable to make her own choices.

She needed to save Jamie.

She kept walking, rewinding the memory of the content inside the note that she was given.

"Rachel..."

She grinned as she felt a nibble in between her shoulder blades. She suppressed a giggle as she pinched Xander before splashing him with the sacred water they bathed in, not to mention in an underground secret cave.

"What now?" She said, adjusting her position as she clung to Xander fearfully, even though she was capable of swimming. She feared that he let her go inside the whirlpool of water that had just recently died down. Now the water, laid there peacefully, not a current evident to their eyes.

"Nothing," He replied shortly after pausing, becoming quiet at her sharp tone. She didn't mind the silence; it was soothing in a way as she felt her affinity growing stronger by each touch Xander gave her.

He was giving it to her willingly, blinded by her beauty and the needs of the beast within him. His inner monster needed her by him or he'd go ballistic, untamed, a threat to the palace. She was feeding power off of him in the same time but his beast didn't mind.

Teach me how you acquired this power and give it all to me....

He shivered at the memory at her words the day before at the throne room. He found her possessiveness cute and enticing. He was willing to do whatever she wanted because at the end, he would be tamed. His beast will be tamed, which meant more power to control, and then he would not have a problem controlling anything that was gifted to him by the Gods and Goddesses. He would never lose his powers, even if he shared them with Rachel. He numbly secured his arms around Rachel's waist as he laid his head in the crook of her neck. Just her smell was intoxicating...

He felt her shift in his lap, and grab his face. "No sniffing."

He crooked a lopsided sick grin, watching her sea blue eyes narrow. "I don't sniff, love. You wound me."

She glared at him, ignoring him, as her hands skimming the surface of the water, delicately, as if she was casting a spell. She was getting colder and bitter, he observed. She thought she had power and authority over him. She was wrong. Just at that thought, he felt rage burn through him, as he gripped Rachel and swiftly turned her around, so she would be facing him. He caught a frightened expression on her face. He smirked, enjoying that fear radiating off of her.

He gripped her by the chin to make things more entertaining for him. "Don't you dare disrespect me Avery. Understand?" He tightened his grip, and bent down to whisper something into her ear. "Or...I'll drop you into the whirl, leaving you to drown. Remember.Who.Is.In.Charge." He released her as she slumped back to his chest.
