"THUMP!THUMP!" I wasn't sure if that was the beast standing on it's four hairy legs or my heart. The sound was getting closer. I leaned my head against the great walls, as i heaved for air. When is the chase going to end? Or was it the fear of being here lost forever or the the labyrinth's only exit closes because the king and Queen decided we took long enough? I mostly feared that the torch hanging on the high vine walls, above me, would collapse and create a fire.

Teeth clamped together. I stilled as I slowly twisted my head. That son of a biscuit. Actually that son of hell. Where demons actually real or was this a human dressed as a demon, that shifts. No, a god damn human isn't that fast. Was I even breathing? Or was I in hell, because of all the sins I'v committed like saving people's live on daily basis.Maybe the archangel found his job little harder because i kept saving lives, while he wanted to start taking them away. I could imagine him snickering at me, murmuring, "payback is a bitch. "

I shifted between the walls that once in a while shifted into another dimension. I exhaled slowly, inwardly yelping in victory, because I had lost the thing in the other dimension.

Suddenly, i felt something liquid and warm dropping onto my head. Wow, was it really raining!My luck for all the rain I can get when I have no umbrella. I glance up enjoying the rain droplet sprinkling onto my face.

To horror, my heart failed to function. This wasn't rain, but the foamy saliva and blood dripping from the demon beast's mouth. I scream as it jumps onto the ground nearing close to me. Run! RUN! RUN!!!! RUN!!! My mind chanted but my body refused to obey. Instead, my hand unleashed the dagger, Xander had given me.

My mouth suddenly whispers something foreign, "Ambrosia."

The dagger glowed in response as it gleamed, ready to spill some blood.

I suddenly figured it out; this wasn't a game of run for you dear life in a bloody maze. This maze had no way out. I was running in circles the whole time. Why the hell would they project our own fears?

Very clever of them. But they were stupider than I'd ever give credit to them.

But I might be wrong, but I was going to take my chances.

The beast growled at me as it its legs got ready to launch at me.

But i dared to look into the demon's eyes. " Are you ready, to go back to hell, or you need help?"

It's head snapped up in confusion. My face widened into a huge grin. Why the fuck are you smiling at a demon? A voice in my head hissed.

But the smile only grew wider as I licked my chapped lips.

" I would take that as a Yes. Bitch, let me help you go back to hell. Honestly, it would be my pleasure."

Before, I could attack, the earth boomed and shone in white light, and the ground beneath me evolved me, or rather, swallowed me and the demon beast.

A short chapter to keep you excited and anxious for the trials.

Fun Fact: The first trial had not ended with this chapter..... Its only the beginning .. * rolls the evil laugh*** Dont mind me, i have problems sometimes. lol
