The sky was crying. The raindrops didn't cease but rather seemed to pierce the window. Thunder clashes as lighting flashed and cracked across the sky. The sky was very ominous and gloomy. It reminded me of something.

Today's sky was like Liam's eyes. Honestly I loved it when it rained outside and the leaves start changing color. It was quite amazing.

I got up from my position and closed the third book I have breezed through today. I got nowhere. My research on Liam's family or ancestry was useless. He was nonexistent. Not even a name. The closest I found in the Vincia Great Records was a guy name Liam Carter. The thought that maybe he had changed his last name to Carter, appeared in my head But then the picture beside the name was an old guy with a missing tooth. I shivered, biting my lip from hysterically laughing. Imagine my Liam being an old pedophile.

I traced back to the Jackson family. There was one. His brother, Darren, was existent. Darren was the guy I saved weeks ago. The Jacksons' ancestry was traced back to when the fates created the kingdoms and balanced the forces between the kingdoms. The Jacksons' watched the Knight family grow into a powerful monarchy. The book had said that the Jacksons' were very loyal and important allies to the royal family. No wonder, the Jacksons' were powerful, they were dukes.

But then the notorious Bruce William Jackson was the last duke. No I was mistaken, recently Bruce William Jackson had passed away suffering from a ... the book was not clear and very inaccurate. Each of the three books said something different. One said that he was suffered from a Cardiac Arrest, while another stated that the Fates had punished him and cursed him, and the last book said that his Son had killed him to take his place as the grand Duke. Not to mention that Liam is now Duke. But the line would have been passed to Darren, since he was the only son the infamous Duke had. Scratch that, biological son. But no, it wasn't possible for then, whoever Liam is, to inherit the Duke's entire tittle.

I was beyond frustrated. It was the first time that a book had not answered my suspicions. But then if the Jacksons' were close with the Royal Family, which means that, they would know who is supposed to take the Duke's place. But then the Duke had two wives. Could Liam be the Duke's first child, but the public never knew? Now I was beyond frustrated. Maybe he was a bastard? The Duke was known for his women. Maybe one of his women, got impregnated? And there popped Liam Jackson; highly unlikely. Usually, a bastard wouldn't inherit such power. Maybe a few pieces of land, if he was favored, but other than that, they were looked down in shame.

Maybe he was from the human world. No, that wasn't possible; the fates would sniff out any mundane. Well technically we all live on Earth. Vincia and the other ancient kingdoms were, yes, located on Earth. The humans were clueless. They were blinded. They could never see through the sheer and the thick glamour that separated the kingdoms from the human cities. I have never set foot outside our glamoured kingdom.

But one day, I dreamed to walk upon the human and visit their cities. If I ever mentioned this in front of anyone from the kingdoms, I would be a disgrace. Vincians had pride. The thought of a mundane, made them squirm in disgust. For me, the human's toe was better than each finger nail the Parliament had. We females were nothing here. We could not practice medicine, law, and peruse great dreams. They thought that a woman was defined by a man. I scoffed at that thought. But things were getting better. If Stanford accepted me for their medical program, that's the first step, for Vincia to bloom out of that horrid way of thinking.

What were Liam's businesses with the king? But then,  Liam was claimed as Xander's cousin. I traced the royal family's heritage line. Nope, if the King's sister had a child, he would be Prince. But then King David never married a princess. Jessica was from this far away kingdom. I closed shut all the books and racked my hand through my hair.
