"Lizzy do I really look like a female dog?" I question her, lying on my bed.
Her eyes remove themselves from her excessive night time cleaning routine.
"Of course not, you are not a dog. You do not walk on all fours."
I roll my eyes due to her impassive response. "I meant do I look like a whore?"
Her eyes widen when these vague words exit my mouth. After her mouth slighting dropping ajar, she quickly recovers. By now, she should be getting used to my weird abnormal questions.
"No, not in my eyes, Miss Avery."
This time it was my time to get slapped in the face. Before I can question her response, Aurora speaks up.
Ohhhhh, so you do really care what Sir Washington said about you....
My jaw clenches as I inwardly shot back, "Shut UP! No I don't! "
She giggles in my head and I roll my eyes. It was just weird to get used to a giggling tumor.
Lizzy suddenly speaks up. "Well good news, four days ago Sir Darren was released. It is good that no one is getting hurt when nighttime falls."
A shiver runs down my spine. When night time falls..... "Yeah, that is great." I mumble in reply.
Lizzy smiled. "It is nice to see one of the nominees helping others while they are at it. Most of them are snobs and self-conceived, thinking that they are all mighty and important since the Fates have chosen them for the Trials."
My eyes widen at Lizzy's spoken words. "Indeed, most of them have their noses in the air."
I glance at the clock, and it being 9:00, I quickly dismiss Lizzy.
"Lizzy, you may leave now. Go back to your family and sleep! I don't even know why you want to keep cleaning at nine..." I holler.
She replies, with a few shuffles gathering her stuff. Good, this time she didn't make me drag her back to her quarters and have the night off.
"Good Night." I say, smiling nervously.
Her eyes twinkle in appreciation, before she wishes me the same.
"Good Night Miss Avery, and May The Fates be with you."
I gulped watching her leave.
May The Fates be with you...
Indeed.

Escaping the palace was not a hard thing to do.
A black cloak covered my dark outfit, as my usual beloved poisonous daggers hid in between them. I made sure to wear a watch, since my time coordination was lacking and poor.
I was now in the forest I was once in before the Trials. I had a draw string bag which included some more weapons, money, water, map, compass, and some food such as bread, chocolate, and granola bars, which I hated by the way.
I cursed inwardly. The creature sending those notes couldn't write a more specific destination to where I was going in that damn forest. The woods itself was ominous and dark, sending the eerie vibe, old legends had mentioned before. How I hated my life this very moment and wished that I was gifted with night vision.
I kept creeping inside the forest, avoiding any branches or mud piles. At some points I would stumble or step on some leaves that would crunch under my foot and rattle, making me jump and pull out one of my beloved daggers. I glance at the night sky, praying that there was a moon to guide me with its light. But no, there was no moon in the sky, just a new moon devoured in its own pitch darkness.
