"Who is this Warlock and what do I ask him for?"
"He goes by the name of Alec Caligari. You tell him that you need his help and he will know instantly."
"Alec Caligari." I repeat, instantly memorizing it.
"Alright, what happens if this Warlock doesn't want to help?" I ask, a shiver running down my spine.
"Then she will die, and so will I."
I froze. "What, why?"
She ran her fingers through the girl's hair. "I connected her life force with mine."
I sighed, knowing that Ashley was that selfless.
"Till what time do I have?" I ask her, a knot forming in my stomach.
"Till sunrise."
The image of the note flashed in my mind.
It had also warned me.
Till sunrise.

"Where will I meet you on my return?" I ask, my eyes scanning the ominous forest. There was no way I was going to let two dying beings in the middle of a deserted nowhere.
"Don't worry, I can't teleport, but I have enough energy to veil myself."
I nod, my mouth becoming instantly dry. Before I turn around and begin with my journey, Ashley stops me. "Rae, you have no idea to where you are going to, do you?"
I shrugged, not wanting to rely on the whispers. Tiredness was already eating me alive.
Ashley mumbles something underneath her breath. Before I knew it the darkness surrounding us, whooshes into a mini tornado, throwing me back a bit. My eyes widened as I continued to breathe heavily and stare at the same moment.
Maybe the textbooks weren't lying about crazy voodoo shit witches do.
The figure of darkness transformed into a beast that looked like a mustang or either a wild viscous and enormous horse.
I yelped when the Shadow Horse's nostrils flared with darkness, his foot stomping on the floor. Was he having a seizure?
"Humph, this should do." Ashley murmured laying her head on the ground.
"WHAT!" I half screamed beyond terrified.
"This will be your transportation," Ash said, stroking the smoky shadows that outlined the damn horse. I was going to faint by any second now.
The Shadow Horse made a sound in the back of its throat. I wasn't sure if it was satisfaction or the sound of him getting prepared to devour me. Its soulless eyes locked within mine, causing my breath to hitch.
"Please don't eat me!" I breathed, trembling.
"Come on you big baby, hop on this beast." Ash retorted, oblivious to my mini panic attack.
She wanted me to bounce on it....
After realizing that I wasn't about to move a centimeter, she signed. "I have given CakePop directions. You will be safer with him. He will not devour you if that's what you are concerned about. He is made of shadows and will dispense the moment the sun rises."
