The sound that the Tardis made when the brakes where left on filled the air as the ship bounced its two passengers around. The Doctor and The Rebel's laughs sounded as they held on tightly to the railing if the ship. "I think we're here.." The Doctor announced as the ship stopped moving. "Where are we? When are we?" The Rebel asked the man who paraded around the room, searching through things and looking at a computer screen that was attached to the console. "London, England. Looks about 2005! The Tardis has been picking up some strong signals. Let's go check it out! You're biological cells should have finished repairing themselves, you shouldn't be dizzy or weak anymore." He told the girl. "Who you calling weak?" She sassed. She walked up to the Doctor who was about 4 inches taller than her, and a lot stronger than her. "You, actually." He added as he stepped outside into the sunshine.
"Coming?" He asked as he poked his head back inside the bigger on the inside box, and The Rebel looked outside. The bright sun shine down on the city of London and only a few clouds floated in the air. People bustled around, slightly pushing and shoving people out of their way, trying to get home, or get to work, or simply outside in a walk. "Um, actually, I need a change of clothes..." She said sheepishly, rubbing her neck. The Doctor looked her up and down and noticed her red dress was all dirty and torn. "Ah! The closet room is up the stairs, down the hall on the left, make the next right turn, and then the next left, another left and it's the second door on your right. Can't miss it!" He rambled. Rebel looked at him with sarcasm lacing her eyes and her hands crossed. "Ugh! Or you could just go up that pair of stairs and it on you left...." He sighed, as The Rebel skipped around the console and up a pair of stairs. He walked back inside the Tardis and sat on the seat.
Meanwhile, The Rebel was looking through pile after pile, rack after rack, but alas found no clothes she truly liked. She had found many unusual items as well. A pre-revolutionary French dress, bell bottoms, a few stetsons, multi colored sandals, a purple baseball, and a neon yellow beanie, but she wasn't one to judge. Just as she was giving up hope, a flash of color drew her interest. She pushed aside a rack of clothes and saw the most amazing thing she had ever laid eyes on.
She slowly advanced towards the shelf and picked the up the silver necklace. (Top ^^) She held the cool medal necklace in her hands as she looked around for more clothes. She walked along the rim of the room, a jean crop top shirt, a pair of black skinny jeans, and all black converse. She tried on the clothes, but something was missing. "What ya think ol' girl? What's missing?" She asked the Tardis. A humming sound filled the room and a rack fell over. A single black jacket hung on it, and The Rebel knew this is what was missing. "Huh, I guess now we will match." She laughed, thinking about The Doctor's jacket. She smiled at the Tardis and trailed her hands along the walls as she walked through the hallways. A tugging feeling pulling her to the console.
"Oi! There you are. Took you forever!" The Doctor shot up from the seat and started heading for the doors. "Well you try being a girl! It's not just put in a clean shirt and pants and go outside! We care about how we look!" The Rebel countered as she trailed behind him. "Yeah, yeah, the signal is really going haywire! We better get a move on." The Doctor said as he held his sonic screwdriver up, completely changing the subject and ignoring her clever comment. The Rebel turned around and closed the doors, and made sure that they were completely closed. "Okay, the signals coming from a shop. A shop? What type of place is that to-" "Doctor! Where's the shop?" The Rebel asked. "Uh, not sure. But we can go find out!" He laughed as they headed off for the source of the signal.
4 Hours Later
Rebel's POV
----------------
I was shifting through a rack of clothes while the Doctor went off to somewhere in the shop. I was bored out of my mind. We agreed that when the shop closed, which I learned was called Henrik's, we would meet up by a display case. I was looking at a few shirts, when a woman came up to me. She had blonde hair, blue eyes, and looked to be about 20. "Ma'm, were closing in five minutes, I suggest making any final purchases about now..." She sighed tiredly. "Long day?" I asked her. "Yeah, but it's better than school. Anything's better than school." She groaned, smiling a bit at the end."Tell me about it.." I smiled. I'm Rose" she said, smiling too. "Oh, I'm..... Lainey. I'm going to use the loo. Bye! Nice to meet you Rose!" I walked off with a sigh."Too close.." I whispered as I walked behind a large counter. The lights went out and I sped up to the spot where I would meet the Doctor. I sat on the display case and whistled. It looked so strange in the dark. Like all the happiness and light was suck out, and replaced with darkness and destruction. "Boo!" The Doctor grabbed my shoulder, and startled me. "Agh!" I yelped. "Come on! I was walking around the storage rooms when in the signal went crazy. I think we found it." He started to head off and I followed.
Doctor's POV
-----------------
"Of course I understand Doctor! You don't have to explain the plan to me like I'm five years old!" The Rebel yelled. I had been trying to make sure she knew the plan, but she kept getting mad at me! "Shh! Stop talking! You here that? Someone's in there!" She exclaimed and went running down the wet halls, me following right after. Soon, we came to a metal door, the rising voice of a woman echoing throughout the room. "We have to help her!" The Rebel pleaded. "Okay, I've got a plan." I told her, grabbing her small hand in mine.We snuck in the other door to the room and what I saw amazed me. The plastic mannequins from the storage had cornered a young woman, around the age of 20. I was snapped out of my trance when one of the mannequins smashed down a pipe right next to the woman, a bit too close. We both leaned up against the wall that the young girl was by and I grabbed her cold hand. Her blonde head spun to look at me and I whispered,
"Run."
