The Doctor started moving his head in a little dance and I laughed. "Refreshments will now be served. Earth Death in thirty minutes." The steward announced, leaving us to chat. Rose suddenly ran out of the room, The Doctor and I tried to follow her, but Jabe stopped us. "Doctor? Rebel?" She asked. She held up a camera like device and a flash went off, temporally blinding me. "Thank you." She walked off without another word.
3rd Person POV
"A gift of peace in all good faith." The Adherent insisted, holding a metal sphere to the Steward. "No, you're very kind, but I'm just the Steward." He declined the gift. "A gift of peace in all good faith." They repeated. "Well, yes, thank you. Of course." The Steward picked up the sphere, and inspects it carefully.Meanwhile, Jabe was caught up in her camera, which was twittering like a bird. "Identify species. Please identify species. Now stop it. Identify their race. Where are they from? It's impossible." She gasped.
The Doctor's POV
As we followed were Rose had gone, I couldn't help but notice Rebel starting out every window we passed. "What are ya looking for?" I questioned, slowing my pace. She stood beside me, brown hair pooling by her shoulders. "Hm..? It's just so strange.. I mean you and I. We've seen the birth and death of hundreds, thousands of civilizations... So why is this so hard?" She spoke. This particular question made the gears in my head turn, finally resulting with a simple answer. "Well, I think, it's hard because deep down, it still hurts, and having watched a planet and its people grow up, and eventually die, it hurts our every souls." I didn't even think before spitting the answer out. The Rebel stared longingly out the window at the soon to burn, Earth. The Rebel's POV

We continued out search for Rose but had to stop short as an announcement overhead caught our attention. "Would the owner of Would the owner of the blue box in private gallery fifteen please report to the Steward's office immediately. Guests are reminded that use of teleportation devices is strictly forbidden under Peace Treaty five point four slash cup slash sixteen. Thank you." The Doctor and I looked at each other and heard for where he oh so 'gracefully' parked the Tardis. The room came into view and we walked up to a crew of small blue people. "Oi, now, careful with that. Park it properly. No scratches." He demanded. One of the crew members handed the Doctor a ticket. It says on one side - Have A Nice Day. I couldn't help but laugh at the strange font the card, but honestly, I had seen worse. I shuddered at the thought and dismissed anything of the subject. We came upon a door that was slightly open ajar. "Rose? Are you in there?" I called. Without hearing a reply, I threw open the double wood doors and strutted into the room. I sat down next to her, and The Doctor sat on a row across the step. "Aye, aye. What do you think, then?" I Alex, nudging her shoulder a bit. "Great. Yeah, fine. Once you get past the slightly psychic paper. They're just so alien. The aliens are so alien. You look at 'em and they're alien." She shuddered. I scoffed, "What ya think they think about you? Waltzing in here all dazed and confused? They notice, the smallest slip up, and you'd be surprised." "Good thing I didn't take you to the Deep South." The Doctor mumbled, I wasn't entirely site who he was talking to, but I let it slide.
"Where are you from? I mean both of you, you're not human." Rose asked. "All over the place." I sighed, thinking of home. They all speak English." Rose concluded, not knowing that the Tardis translates. "No, you just hear English. It's a gift of the Tardis. The telepathic field, gets inside your brain and translates." The Doctor said, taking the unsaid words out of my mouth.
"It's inside my brain?" Rose asked exasperated. "Well, in a good way." I tried to cover up, seeing that the blonde haired girl was boiling over with anger. "Your machine gets inside my head. It gets inside and it changes my mind, and you didn't even ask?" She spit.
"I didn't think about it like that." The Doctor "No, you were too busy thinking up cheap shots about the Deep South. Who are you, then, Doctor? And you Rebel? What are you called? What sort of alien are you both?" Rose demanded. I flinched as her voice got higher and louder."I'm just the Doctor." He insisted. I kept my mouth shut, hoping Rose would just focus on him. I wasn't so lucky, she glared at me and I sighed. "I'm the Rebel. Just the Rebel. Don't like it? Leave." I said, hardness and emotion clear in my voice., "From what planet?" Rose asked me. "Well, it's not as if you'll know where it is!" I scoffed, standing up now anger burning in my eyes. "Where are you from?" She asked again. "What does it matter?" My voice got louder and the Doctor watched on, not wanting to get involved. "Tell me who you are!" Rose almost yelled. "This is who I am, right here, right now, all right? The Doctor as well! Got that All that counts is here and now, and this is us!" I shouted. "Yeah, and I'm here too because you brought me here, so just tell me." She urged. I rolled my angry eyes as the Doctor got up and tried to calm her down. My feet found their way to the window and I saw my reflection in the thick glass. Messy hair, quivering lips, angry eyes with tears threatening to spill. I sighed and looked at the Earth.
"Earth Death in twenty minutes. Earth Death in twenty minutes." The computer annoyingly said. As I watched the Earth stand their in all its glory, I couldn't help but think of my home.
Memories
--------------
Three children ran through the red grass fields, screaming and laughing. Two boys and one girl, all about 4. "That- was- fun!" The little girl lagged, blonde hair frizzy and wild, making her green eyes pop. They all laid under a tree that sat on top of a hill and looked at the orange sky. "Yeah!" One of the boys laughed with her. A few moments of silence passed as they regained their breath.Years later, 16 years later to be exact, they three friends sat in that very spot. This time, they were not laughing and happy. Something had happened. Something terrible. "I can't believe you didn't tell me!" One of the boys screamed at the other. The girl pulling her knees to her chest and covering her ears with her hands, squeezing her eyes shut. "I didn't know! It's not her fault!" The other one tried to explain. "Ha! That's a new one! Didn't know! What lies are you going to tell me know Theta?" He screamed. At this the girl stood up and screamed, "SHUT UP! BOTH OF YOU! JUST SHUT UP!" Her face was red with anger and her eyes hard. The bits quieted down and looked at their feet, looking like a child after being scolded by a mother.
Another memory, now a few regenerations in the future, a girl with brown curls and blue eyes, and lots of freckles sat next to a man who's face was hidden. The only distinguishable feature was the brown hair. "I'm sorry about your friend." She tried to comfort. "It's fine." His voice rang out, sadness clear in it. Uncomfortable silence passed between the two, but his words hung in the air. "I feel like something bad will happen." She worried, as she looked over the fields of red grass. "Don't worry about it, we'll all be fine." He said, stating it simply, putting his sister's feelings aside. "But-" he suddenly got up and glared at her. "Let it go! Just stop talking!" He yelled, then proceeding down the hill, leaving the girl crying at the top of the hill.
Suddenly, the Rebel was shaken, quite literally, from her thoughts as the ship shook violently. "Rebel?" Rose asked, seeing as the Rebel was still looking out the window. She slowly turned around and smiled an almost insane smile, followed by, "that wasn't supposed to happen?" She suddenly dashed up the stairs and through the hallways.m, Rose and the Doctor following quickly.
