A/N: This is the 45th chapter of The Girl Who Survived!!! Yeah!! 😋
The Rebel's POV
The lift stopped on level 2, and we stepped out. We went down a hallway, silence in the air. Two green aliens, Slitheen, walked down the corridor and we dashed for a hiding place. "It does us good to hunt. Purifies the blood." One spoke. "We'll keep this floor quarantined as our last hunting ground before the final phase." The other answered.
Rose's POV
The two green things entered the sitting room me and Harriet were hiding in, as if the one we already had on our tail wasn't enough. I hid behind a curtain, and Harriet hid behind a screen of sorts. Now would be a great time for the Rebel and Doctor to show up. "My brothers." One of them said. "Happy hunting?" A more manly voice rang out. "It's wonderful. The more you prolong it, the more they stink." A feminine voice called."Sweat and fear."
"I can smell an old girl. Stale bird and brittle bones." One said, obviously referring to Harriet. "And a ripe youngster, all hormones and adrenalin. Fresh enough to bend before she snaps." It spoke about me. My breathing became ragged and hurried as the big green thing came closer to me.
The curtain I hid behind swung back and I came face to face with the ugly creatures. I couldn't help but let a loud scream erupt from my throat. I tried to shrink into the wall, hiding from it. "Oh god help me!" I yelped, in fear. These foreign creatures scared the life out of me....
"No! Take me first! Take me!" Harriet called out to them, bringing their attention to her. As fast as this happened, the doors swing open and revealed on of my best friends.
"Lookin' for me?" The Rebel smirked, a red fire extinguisher in her hands. She sprayed the male Slitheen with CO2, and I smiled in relief. "Out, with me!" The Doctor shouted, waving us to him. The Slitheen was still in front of me, and I couldn't get away. I noticed the curtain still above us, and I pulled it over the Slitheen, making my get away. I've never been happened to see two people in my life.
The Rebel's POV
"Who the hell are you?" I asked as a older looking woman with straw like brown hair rushed towards us with Rose. "Harriet Jones, MP for Flydale North." she responded, as if she had rehearsed it 1,000 times before. "Nice to meet you." I grinned. "Likewise." She smiled. I used up the rest of the CO2 in the extinguisher and we all made a dash for it.
"We need to head to the Cabinet Room." I ordered. "The Emergency Protocols are in there. They give instructions for aliens." Harriet said, a bit out of breath. "Harriet Jones, I like you." The Doctor grinned.
"And I like you too."
The Slitheen chased us through the corridors and rooms, but we made it to the Cabinet Room. Rose and Harriet ran through the doorway and went further into the room. The Doctor pushed me with them and grabbed a decanter from a side table and stood in the doorway. "One more move and my sonic device will triplicate the flammability of this alcohol. Whoof, we all go up. So back off." He threatened, holding his sonic screwdriver to the decanter. The Slitheen back off a bit, but kept glowering and hissing at us.
"Right then. Question time. Who exactly are the Slitheen?" I stepped forward. "They're aliens." Harriet shrunk back. "Yes. I got that, thanks." I said, not looking at her.
"Who are you, if not human?" It asked. "Who's not human?" Harriet asked, looking at us all. "They aren't human." Rose answered meekly. She's not human? Him too?" Harriet tried.
"Can I have a bit of hush?" The Doctor raised his voice over the two women. "Sorry." Harriet apologized. "So, what's the plan?" I asked the Slitheen."But he's got a Northern accent. And she's got a British." Harriet whispered to Rose. "Lots of planets have a north." I turned around. "I said hush. Come on. You've got a spaceship hidden in the North Sea. It's transmitting a signal. You've murdered your way to the top of government. What for, invasion?" The Doctor said.
"Why would we invade this God-forsaken rock?" One of the three Slitheen asked, appalled by the idea. "Then something's brought the Slitheen race here. What is it?" I tried. "The Slitheen race?" One of them laughed. "Slitheen is not our species. Slitheen is our surname. Jocrassa Fel Fotch Pasameer-Day-Slitheen at your service." One of them said proudly.
"So, you're family." I whispered. "A family business." It corrected. "Then you're out to make a profit. How can you do that on a God-forsaken rock?" The Doctor quoted. "Ah, excuse me? Your device will do what? Triplicate the flammability?" The Slitheen caught on.
"Is that what I said?" The Doctor asked. "You're making it up." "Ah, well! Nice try. Harriet, have a drink. I think you're gonna need it." I took the alcohol from the Doctor and passed it to Harriet. "You pass it to the left first." She corrected. I kept my eyes on the Slitheen and switched the alcohol in my left hand and handed it to Rose. "Sorry." I told her."Thanks."
"Now we can end this hunt with a slaughter." One Slitheen laughed, blood thirsty. "Don't you think we should run?" Rose asked, a bit panicky. "Fascinating history, Downing Street. Two thousand years ago, this was marsh land. 1730, it was occupied by a Mister Chicken. He was a nice man. 1796, this was the Cabinet Room. If the Cabinet's in session and in danger, these are about the four most safest walls in the whole of Great Britain. End of lesson." The Doctor rambled, and lifted a small panel by the door, and pressed a big button. Metal shutters crashed across the windows and doors.
"Installed in 1991. Three inches of steel lining every single wall. They'll never get in." The Doctor boasted.
"And how do we get out?" I questioned.
"Ah." He said, poker faced.
Little did we know, outside the doors, a very important conversation was processing. "They are safely contained. Now, cut off communications inside that room, then summon the family. It's time we finished with this insane planet for good." The Slitheen laughed evilly. Thinking about the description they wanted to bring upon this world.
