"It's going to follow us!" Rose cried, looking at the white doors cautiously. I rolled my eyes as I watched Rose look around the console room. "The assembled hoards of Genghis Khan couldn't get through that door, and believe me, they've tried. Well, it wasn't this Tardis, but anyway, close enough! Now, shut up a minute." I said, pulling a lever on the console, helping The Doctor hook the plastic head up to the console. "You see, an arm was too simple. But a heads perfect! We can trace the signal back to the original source." I rambled, hooking the head up. "Where do you want to start?" The Doctor asked a bewildered Rose.

"Uh, the inside bigger than the inside?" Rose awkwardly said. "Yes." I called, circling the console. "It's alien.." Rose trailed off. "Yep." The Doctor answered. "Are you both alien?" "Oh yeah!" I called, now facing Rose, standing next to The Doctor. "Is that alright?" "Yeah." Rose said. "By the way. It's called The Tardis. T A R D I S. That's Time And Relative Dimension In Space." I explained, stroking the failing, earning a humming sound, that made me smile.

Rose burst into tears, an affect from culture shock. "That's okay, just culture shock. Happens to the best of us." I cooed, watching Rose sniffle. "Did they kill him? Mickey? Did they kill Mickey? Is he dead?" She sniffles, holding back tears. "Oh. I didn't think of that." The Doctor sheepishly rubbed his neck. "He's my boyfriend. You pulled off his head. They copied him and you didn't even think? And now you're just going to let him melt?" She yelled. "Melt?" I asked. "Oh no! No! No! No! No!" I shouted, running to head that was melting in the console. The Doctor started the Tardis up, making Rose shake. "What are you doing!" She shrieked. "Following the signal. It's fading. Wait a minute, I've got it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no! Almost there. Almost there. Here we go!" The Doctor yelled, making the Tardis shake, the sound that it makes when the brakes are left on, filling the air.

The Tardis landed and we all ran for the doors. "You can't go out there! It's not safe! It will-" she was cut off when she saw that we moved. "I lost the single! We got SO close!" The Doctor sighed. "We moved? Does it fly?" Rose asked The Doctor who was currently pacing back and forth, holding his head. "Disappears there and reappears here. You wouldn't understand." The Doctor rudely answered, earning a punch in the arm by me. "If we're somewhere else, what about the headless thing? Is it still loose?" "Nah, melted with the head." I said, staring at the water, leaning in the railing of the bridge. "I'm going to have to tell his mother. Mickey. I'll have to tell his mother he's dead. And you just went a forgot about him! Again! You're right, you are alien!" Rose accused, and I saw that The Doctor was angered by this.

"Look, if I did forget some kid called Mickey-" "He's not a kid." Rose crossed her and and stared at us. I was still staring at the water, not wanting to get involved. " It's because I'm trying to save the life of every stupid ape blundering on top of this planet, all right?!" The Doctor yelled. "All right." Rose sighed. "Yes! Yes it is!" The Doctor yelled, scaring Rose, and me a bit. "If you are an alien, how comes you sound like you're from the North?" Rose changed the subject after a minute of silence. "I stood up and walked to the two and answered, "Lots of planets have a north.""what's a police public call box?" Rose said, reading what it said above of the Tardis doors.

"It's a telephone box from the 1950s. It's a disguise, a beautiful disguise." I sighed, stroking the doors, smiling. "Okay.... And this, this living plastic. What's it got against us?" Rose asked. "Nothing! It loves you lot! You've got such a good planet. Lots of smoke, oil, toxins and dioxins in the air! Perfect!" I said. "Just what the Nestene Consciousness needs. It's food stock was destroyed in the war, all its protein plants rotted, so Earth, dinner!" The Doctor finished, making eating motions at the end. "Is there anyway of stopping it?" Rose asked. I pulled a tube of Anti-plastic out of my pocket and showed it to Rose. "It's called Anti-plastic." "Anti-plastic?" Rose questioned. "Anti-plastic." I concluded. "But first we've got to find it. How can you hide something that big in a city this small?" The Doctor said, talking about the transmitter.

"Hold on? Hide what?" Rose asked. "The transmitter. The Consciousness is controlling every single piece of plastic, so it needs a transmitter to boost the signal." I said, looking around. "What's it look like?" She asked. "Like a transmitter. Round and massive, slap bang in the middle of London." The Doctor said. "A huge circular metal structure like a dish, like a wheel. Radial. Close to where we're standing. Must be completely invisible. What? What?" The Doctor was standing right in front of The London Eye, but he wasn't getting it. Rose and I stared at it, and The Doctor kept looking behind him. "What? What is it? What?" "Oh. Fantastic!" He smiled and we smiled back.

We started to run across the Westminster Bridge and slowed down by a staircase. "Think of it, plastic all over the world, every artificial thing waiting to come alive. The shop window dummies, the phones, the wires, the cables-" Rose leaned over to me and whispered, "The breast implants." Which earned a small laugh from me, and a small glare from The Doctor. "Still, we've found the transmitter. The Consciousness must be somewhere underneath." I said, looking around the bridge. "What about down here?!" Rose asked, pointing to a large manhole entrance at the bottom of the steps. "Looks good to us." I smirked and we went running down to it.

The Doctor opened a hatch on the manhole and we entered it. I went first, followed by Rose, and finally The Doctor. I hoped off the last rail and scanned the room. The glowing red lights face it an eerie look, and the brick built area had chains and metal rails everywhere. "The Nestene Consciousness. That's it, inside the vat. A living plastic creature." I said, amazed. "Well, then. Tip in your anti-plastic and let's go." Rose nervously said. "We aren't not here to kill it. We've got to give it a chance. We walked down a catwalk that overlooked the seething vat. "I seek audience with the Nestene Consciousness under peaceful contract according to convention 15 of the Shadow Proclamation." I shouted to the Consciousness. It moved around, granting us permission. "Thank you. If I might have permission to approach?" The Doctor asked. Rose spotted Mickey sitting down on a lower level and ran down to him. I rolled my eyes and we followed her down. "Oh, God! Mickey, it's me! It's okay. It's all over.. Doctor! Rebel! They kept him alive!" Rose cooed, Mickey was shaking and curled up in a ball and rocking back and forth.
"Yeah, that was always a possibility. Keep him alive to maintain the copy." The Doctor said, as we stood next to Rose. "You both knew that and you never said?" He accused. I put my hands up in surrender, "Hey! I didn't know!" They both ignored me and kept talking.
"Can we keep the domestics outside, thank you?" He asked.

We continued down the stairs and went to a lower level, one right above the Consciousness. "Am I addressing the Consciousness? Thank you. If I might observe, you infiltrated this civilisation by means of warp shunt technology. So, may I suggest, with the greatest respect, that you shunt off?" I mocked, earning a smirk from The Doctor. A sort of face appeared from the vat of plastic. "Oh, don't give me that. It's an invasion, plain and simple. Don't talk about constitutional rights." The Doctor went off. The Consciousness got louder and started screaming. "I am talking! This planet is just starting. These stupid little people have only just learnt how to walk, but they're capable of so much more. I'm asking you on their behalf. Please, just go." He continued. "Doctor! Rebel!" Rose cried. Four shop dummies came out and grabbed iris. Two were holding The Doctor, and two were holding me. One of them pulled the vial of anti-plastic.

My eyes widened as the Consciousness became restless and started shouting. "That was just insurance. I wasn't going to use it. I was not attacking you. I'm here to help. I'm not your enemy. I swear, I'm not. What do you mean?" I yelled. A door above us slid back, and revealed the Tardis. "No. Oh, no. Honestly, no. Yes, that's our ship. That's not true. I should know, I was there, we both were. I fought in the war. We fought in the war! It wasn't our fault. I couldn't save your world! Neither could she! I couldn't save any of them! We couldn't!" The Doctor pleaded. "What's it doing?!" Rose yelled. "It's the Tardis! The Nestene's identified its superior technology. It's terrified. It's going to the final phase. It's starting the invasion! Get out, Rose! Just leg it now!" I screamed, fearing what would happen to us.
