Rebel's POV

"Do you want to get out?" Rose asked a queasy looking Adam. "No. No, this technology, it's amazing." Adam said in awe. "This technology's wrong." The Doctor and I said simultaneously. "Trouble?" Rose turned to us. "Oh, yeah." I nodded along with the Doctor.

3rd Person POV

"That's it! Oh yes, she's the liar. Intercept and scan." The Editor ordered a frozen stiff body next to him. The monitor on the screen zoomed in on Suki's face.

"Gotcha." He smirked.

Suki pulled her hands away as if she has just received an electric shock. The other six lift their hands and the information beam shuts down. Cathica's portal closed. "Come off it, Suki. I wasn't even halfway. What was that for?" Cathica groaned at her friend. "Sorry. It must've been a glitch." Suki apologized.

"Oh." Cathie's said.

Back on floor 500, the Editor spoke to a frozen body.  "Her information's been tampered with. There's a second biography hidden underneath." A evil snarl came from above them. "Yes, sir. Absolutely, sir. Yes, well, her data was encrypted, so there's no way we could have found her sooner." The Editor spoke to a thing on the ceiling. "I'm sorry, I. Yes, sorry, sir. Absolutely." He turned back to one of the many cold people, "Get her up here. Now." He ordered with a hiss.

----
Back in the newsroom, "Promotion." The overhead speaker announced. A wall lit up with the word. "Come on. This is it. Come on. Oh God, make it me. Come on, say my name, say my name, say my name." Cathica begged.

"Promotion for Suki Macrae Cantrell. Please proceed to Floor five hundred." It spoke.

"I don't believe it. Floor five hundred!!" Suki said happily, dreaming of the golden walls and luxurious things that awaited her. The four, Adam, Rose, Rebel, and Doctor watched with interest and disbelief. "Somethings going on." The Rebel whispered Ito the Doctor's ear. "How the hell did you manage that? I'm above you." Cathica hissed. "I don't know. I just applied on the off chance and they've said yes." Suki smiled.

"That's so not fair. I've been applying to Floor five hundred for three years." Cathica snapped.

"What's Floor five hundred?" Rose leaned to the two aliens.

"The walls are made of gold." The Rebel rolled her eyes.

-----
Rose, Adam, the Doctor and Rebel, Cathica and Suki stood by a lift door. "I'm going to miss you. Floor five hundred, thank you." Suki said, turning to the Doctor. Ignoring the Rebel completely.

"We didn't do anything." The Doctor grabbed the Rebel's hand. This small gesture made Rose's heart tinge, but she wasn't sure why, and made Adam smirk at the man in the leather jacket.

"Well, you're my lucky charm." Suki eyed him.

"All right....." The Doctor trailed off.

"Come on, it's not that bad." Rose turned to Adam, seeing as he was staring at Cathica's forehead.  "What, with the head thing?" Adam whispered to her. "Yeah, well, she's closed it now!" Rose tried. "Yeah, but. It's everything. It freaks me out. And I just need to. If I could just cool down. Sort of acclimatise." Adam tried to excuse his self, a plan formulating in his head.

"How do you mean?" Rose asked, not understanding.

"Maybe I could just go and sit on the observation deck. Would that be all right? Soak it in, you know. Pretend I'm a citizen of the year two hundred thousand." Adam shrugged.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Rose asked him. "No, no, you stick with the Doctor and Rebel. You'd rather be with them. It's going to take a better man than me to get between you three. Anyway, I'll be on the deck." Adam sighed.

"Here you go. Take the Tardis key. You know, just in case it gets a bit too much." Rose handed him a Tardis key without thinking, "Yeah, like it's not weird in there." Adam playfully glared at her.

"All staff are reminded that the sixteen forty break session has been shortened by ten minutes. Thank you." The overhead said.

Adam left with the key, grinning to himself.

"Oh, my God, I've got to go. I can't keep them waiting. I'm sorry. Say goodbye to Steve for me. Bye!" Suki called out as the lift doors opened and closed.

"Good riddance." Cathica groaned once the doors were closed completely. "You're talking like you'll never see her again. She's only going upstairs." The Doctor said, not liking Cathica's sudden change in behavior.

"We won't. Once you go to Floor five hundred you never come back." She said.
