"Big Ben destroyed as a UFO crash lands in Central London. Police reinforcements are drafted in from across the country to control widespread panic, looting and civil disturbance. A state of national emergency has been declared. Tom Hitchinson is at the scene." The News 24 channel broadcasted. "The police are urging the public not to panic. There's a help line number on screen right now if you're worried about friends or family." Some man said. The tv channel switched to an American station, "The military are on the lookout for more spaceships. Until then, all flights in North American air space have been grounded." The woman said. It switched back to News 24 ."The army are sending divers into the wreck of the spaceship. No one knows what they're going to find." On AMNN, the American channel the woman spoke again. "The President will address the nation live from the White House, but the Secretary General has asked that people watch the skies."

Jackie came from the kitchen with a mug for Rose and her friend Ru Chan, but not the Doctor or me. "I've got no choice." Jackie said. "You've broken your mother's heart." Ru exasperated. I'm not going to make them welcome." Jackie glared at us. "I cradled her like a child." Ru raised her voice at Rose. "Oi, I'm trying to listen." I shouted at the two annoying women. The Doctor and I were seated in front of the telly, waiting for any news.

The news cut to 10 Downing Street. "His current whereabouts. News is just coming in. We can go to Tom at the Embankment." A reporter said. "They've found a body. It's unconfirmed." Hitchinson said.
" But I'm being told a body has been found in the wreckage. A body of non-terrestrial origins. It's being brought ashore."

The small gathering I has turned into a welcome home party for Rose, with wine being served. Many of Jackie's friends were loudly talking and laughing. "A body of some sort has been found inside the wreckage of the spacecraft." Hitchinson said, dramatically. "Oh, guess who asked me out. Billy Crewe." Jackie told her friends.

"Brought to the nearest shore. Unconfirmed reports say that the body is of extra-terrestrial origin. An extraordinary event unfolding here live here in Central London. The body is being transferred to a secure unit mortuary, the whereabouts is yet unknown. The roads in Central London are being-" Suddenly, the channel changed to Blue Peter. "And when you've stuck your fins on, you can cover the whole lot in buttercream." Matt Baker talked, frosting a cake. A toddler sat on the Doctor's lap, wrestling for the remote. "Oh, look at that. Then ice it any colour you want. Here's one I made a little bit earlier. And look at that, your very own spaceship ready to eat. And for something a little extra special-" The Doctor took the remote control from the toddler and switched it back to the news.

The little boy got off his lap and went running to me. I was intently staring at the telly, waiting. The little boy, no more than 4-5, crawled onto my lap and started playing with me hair. I was pulled out of my staring by this. He starts laughing and giggling as I looked down at him with confusion. I was t really experienced with kids.. Sadly, before the time war, I never got married and had children. I was the youngest sibling, so I never got to play with a younger sibling, only a bigger, annoying, strange, brother.

I looked away from the small child who was still in my lap, and looked up at the Doctor. I noticed that he had also pulled his attention away from the tv and was looking straight at me. "Albion Hospital. We still don't know whether it's alive or dead. Whitehall is denying everything." The newsman said. I looked down at my feet and slowly looked back at the tv, blushing slightly.

"Mystery still surrounds there whereabouts of the Prime Minister. He's not been seen since the emergency began. The opposition are criticising his lack of leadership, and. Hold on." Andrew Marr announced, broadcasting from Downing Street. An official car pulled up and a portly man stepped out.
"Oh, that's Joseph Green, MP for Hartley Dale. He's Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission..." Marr said. "On the monitoring of sugar standards in exported confectionary. With respect, hardly the most important person right now." He commented.
